Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceIf you are looking for authentic hospitality in a small boutique hotel, look no further. The architecture of the old buildings and the charming interiors, though fully adapted to contemporary needs, make you travel in time, enhancing your experience to the maximum. Mario is a pleasant and seamlessly professional host, who will level up your stay. Breakfast is excellent and so is the cleanliness of the hotel.

United StatesNothing. It was perfect.
Our stay at Camillas Hus was perfect from start to finish. Perfect communication, easy to locate, ample (free!) parking in Oslo which is unheard of, gorgeously appointed and impeccably clean rooms in a beautiful historic home literally next door to the royal palace. Staff is incomparable. We were welcomed by a charming young man our first night and found ourselves upgraded to a suite. Everything was explained and all that was left to do was relax and fall asleep in our very comfortable bed. Breakfast is included and is hosted in Park 29 restaurant next door. This is no average breakfast buffet, it is service at its finest with a delicious selection of freshly made ala carte items. Do not sleep through breakfast and make sure to get the apple juice. You will not regret it. While the location _may_ seem a little bit away from the center of Oslo for those planning to explore on foot, do not let that deter you. While we mainly chose Camillas Hus because of the parking, we would return here in a heartbeat without a car. Everything is easily accessible, with the maximum distance to anything you would like to see on foot at maybe 30 minutes; however, most locations are closer than that. Additionally, being located near the palace, the location is extremely quiet and you are able to rest without any worry of street noise at night. Last, but not least, your host Mario is the most charming, knowledgeable, and kind man. He obviously is a professional at his job and has chosen the perfect career. Do not pass on the opportunity to have such an experience of a stay in Camillas Hus.

Camillas Hus is a perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway or even a longer stay. HOTEL: The hotel is basically a beautiful old villa which has all the modern hotel amenities you could ask for and it is sparkling clean. Very boutique, very historic-Oslo vibe. ROOM: The room was immaculate, had a very warm and welcoming climate, dim lights, very comfy bed and linens, very large modern bathroom with floor heating (important in cold Norway). Free bottled water. The hotel makes you feel rather at home than in a hotel. Umbrellas are available at the entry door. BREAKFAST: Breakfast was delicious and very elegant, freshly served from a short menu, eggs, salmon, bacon, vegetables or sweet options, and a cold cuts platter to start with, accompanied by an amazing home-made butter and bread. All staff is incredibly attending, pleasant and professional. DINING: just next to Camillas Hus is Park29 restaurant which has a wonderful tasting menu and regular dining card. This is also where breakfast is served. We also recommend Lorry restaurant and bar which is a 2-min walk from the hotel and is open all week round which is rather unusual for Oslo. We recommend making diner reservations for both restaurants as they get very crowde in the evenings. The pearl in the crown of the hotel is the hotel manager who attends to all your needs and is very helpful with all the tips and interesting fund-facts about Oslo and its citizens. The location is a little outside of the city center and a little bit up a small hill in the royal castle park. So, I would say it is perfect if you don’t mind a 10-min walk to the Karl Johans Street and 15-20 min walk to the fjord and Opera. The street behind the hotel is packed with beautiful old villas.

KuwaitThere was no elevator as it was an old home they said. But it was ok for us. I kept hitting my head to the roof of the bathroom, which was sloppy ;( ;) . I had read in some reviews that there would be fresh strawberries every day in the room, but we had some fruits in our room only on the first day of our stay….. they didn’t replenish this even on asking.
They upgraded us to a Suit. The room was spacious and massive. It also give me a weighing scale and 2 table fans on request. Free Vehicle Parking. Breakfast was not Buffer, but it was sufficient….. as it was the last 3 days of our trip, and we had hogged enough in the past 12 days.
