It was a shame the spa facilities were not working properly - we couldn't make use of the sauna or steam room

Nothing, it was perfect!

The bed was unbelievably comfortable, literally like sleeping on a cloud! Breakfast was wonderful, couldn’t have asked for anything extra. Had a problem with the room card lock, staff couldn’t fix it so upgraded to a beautiful room without any hassle. The staff were all outstanding, the hotel itself is fascinating with its history and in the most amazing location.

Not much, perhaps the evening buffet is sometimes basic (depends on how many guests there are, I guess). And sometimes you do need some patience to use the elevator ... but my advice: use the stairs, they are worth it.

Great room, great breakfast, superb location, friendly staff, etc. Just a great place to stay.

If I have to comment, it would be the bathroom, there is a gap underneath between the glass door of the shower and the bath, therefore water is just sipping out making the floor pretty wet.

We just got back from Bergen, it was our first visit to Bergen, when planning I had few choices of hotel but in the end I went for the Clarion and Im glad I did. Myself and my sister had a comfortable stay and have really enjoyed our stay here. We liked so many things about this hotel, location, interior, cleanliness, breakfast and the light dinner you get in the evening plus the Fika in the afternoon. The reviews about this hotel from previous guests were correct, its a fantastic place to stay in when in Bergen, special thanks to Dikdik for his patience about the our rooms.

One of the reasons we booked here was because breakfast and dinner were included. Breakfast was limited and not very good. Dinner was horrible, they only take out a tray of breaded fish and some salad ingredients. The fish seemed like it was from a boxed-microwave meal, quite bad. You are better off eating somewhere else.

Location and historic building are great. Staff also very nice. Be sure to ask for access to the tower, the view there is great.

The restaurant did have much dinner options but that is just a minor negative really because there are many other dinner options close to the hotel if you want that.

Having a dinner provided as part of the room rate was very convenient. We could totally relax in the hotel facilities. Pancakes and tea/coffee in the afternoon was also a fun bit of luxury which we could enjoy because many tourist attractions are close to the hotel. Also loved the convenient airport shuttle bus just outside the door.

All was good!

We got an upgrade behause our original room was no longer available due to late arrival. The afternoon Snack is very nice, the evening dinner "snack" are real meals with value! Don´t miss the tower on the roof of this hotel - Beautiful view to the Harbour! Parking garage direct in front of the hotekl. This hotel does have stylöe and tradition - the staff does live this!

No house keeping if you stay there for more than 1 night! So if you need towels changed, you have to pick it up from the reception!

With four night, I could experience the half board offer of the restaurant. There was no fish served with the evening meal. For a vegetarian person the food wasn’t satisfactory. Please do not put bacon on a fried egg! There should be in a separate dish. We loved the opportunity of the fika with the pancakes or waffles.

Location can’t be better. Friendly staff. Liked it’s sustainability efforts.
