The room lighting was very minimal. Even with every light tu4ned on we needed to use the torch on our smart phone to find things in sine areas of the room. (We found this throughout Norway).

The first room we were given was a very long walk away from the elevators and uncomfortably small. On request, we were relocated to a somewhat larger room which was closer to the elevators but still quiet.

The hotel is at a very convenient location, the breakfast is incredibly varied, the room is clean.

We arrived from the ship and city bus tour at 10:30am. We were told that check in wasn’t until 3pm. Why does it take the hotel staff 4 hours to clean and prepare rooms?

On a positive note, the breakfast buffet was amazing. The best we have ever experienced in our global travels.

The size of our room. We didn’t have enough room to open our suitcase without opening it on the bed. The bottom sheet on the bed wasn’t big enough to properly tuck in.

I did not like having to book a time for breakfast because as an international traveller, I was being careful about only using wifi, so the communication could only take place while I was in the hotel itself. Being on holiday, I also had to commit to a time the next day when I would have preferred more freedom to choose my own time on the morning.

The location is excellent, being close to trains, trams and a walk to everywhere in the city. The breakfast was good and it was particularly convenient to be able to have some simple breakfast items before the main restaurant opened when we had an early morning train to catch to Bergen.

the standard economy rooms are tiny and NOT suitable for couples...the upgrade to a proper 2 person room is only 15 quid which we would happily have paid at the time of the booking had we been given sufficient info on the size of the rooms.

Be prepared for the hotel to be pretty busy due to the variety of corporate events it holds. Weekends in the bar are very busy and club-like with security.

The location was great for arriving at the train station and catching the train to Bergen when we left. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The biggest and most varied we’d ever encountered at a hotel. We also liked that there was an a section for people with food allergies.

The room’s feeling depends on if the room is nearby the elevator & ice maker…… The staff is very kindly when I told her the problem and suggested if I need to change to another room. And the room’s light is a little bit dark.

The staff are very kindly &helpful, they will meet every requirement as they could, especially when I lost my passport &credit cards in the hotel. Especially the food & location was excellent! Besides, the room’s decoration is full of Norway style, very interesting!

room way too hot for sleeping; window only opens a crack & then it’s too noisy. the only bed linen was heavy comforter which way too heavy/hot. no luggage rack in room, had to clear off little table & use that. not enough hooks to hang towels in bathroom & no face cloths.

best free breakfast ever! great location but noisy at night with window cracked open. great bar & restaurant on 13th floor.

The room was a bit small, and the way it was decorated, is just not practical, leaving little space for the visitor. Also with the variety of colors and things, it becomes easier to loose or forget something in the room. The price we paid is too expensive.

The location was very good, walking distance from the train station; people were very nice, always available for help; breakfast was fantastic with many options and everything of very good quality.

Rooms tight and not able to be darkened properly. No concierge, hard to get help it advice , check in staff were sllnfrom somewhere else so had little local knowledge
