Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThere was very little not to like. My only complaints would probably be the lack of tea facilities in the room (coffee machine, no kettle or tea bags) but that could just be my anglo-centric view! Would have been nice to have robes in the room especially as the bath towels were on the small side. Also no complimentary bottled water in the room. These are very minor complaints though!
Perfect location for us, right next to the Opera House and Munch Museum and only five minutes from the train station. The hotel is kept to a high standard, very clean and modern throughout. The room was a fair size for the price, bed was comfy, bathroom clean. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of hot and cold options and catering to many dietary requirements. The bar attached to the hotel was very nice, a good place to unwind with a cocktail after a day's sightseeing. Staff were all helpful and friendly, and being able to store our luggage after checkout was a huge plus.

United KingdomWe booked Deluxe Double Room, but received a Twin. After contacting reception we been told that hotel is fully booked and they won't be able to move us. It was disappointing as we booked this room way in advance. Mini Bar charges should be display somewhere, as you will only be able to see them after you start "digging " in a tv menu.Not very easy to find. On the first glance it looks like items in the fridge are included in the price of the room, but they are not.
This hotel is amazing. Lovely central location, almost next to the Opera and only 5 minutes walk from Central Train Station, so super convenient if you comming by train from the airport. The views from our room were incredible - beautiful location. Room was spacious, extremely clean. Bathroom had floor heating and Rituals cosmetics tp use. Nespresso's coffee machine was great, and mini bar full of local stuff. Buffet breakfast is to die for! Huge selection of everything. Hot and cold dishes, amazing selection of fish, crispy fresh bread, fresh juces, even brownies and cookies :D We loved it. Staff very helpfull and friendly.

United KingdomLighting in the room was hopeless. The wall light over the small desk didn't work, and the electronic control pad for the main switches was totally incomprehensible (and I thought I was pretty good at working these things out!). By comparision the bathroom seemed almost too bright!
Cost was £150 for a single room including breakfast, which I think was reasonable considering the location. It was on the second floor overlooking the street, but fortunately there wasn't a lot of traffic noise [on a Saturday night/Sunday morning] and at least the window could be opened for ventilation. Amazing choice of food in the restaurant for breakfast - great attention to detail.

Great location on dockside amongst bars and restaurants, near Central Station, Munch museum and Opera House. Excellent breakfast buffet.

NorwayThe bed was a bit soft, but I guess that's a personal preference. There was also a bit of noise from the trams outside the window, so the sound insulation wasn't as good as I would expect in such a modern building.
Excellent breakfast and wonderful location right in the new waterfront district. The staff were friendly and helpful - I ended up here only because of cancelled flight, and although the hotel clearly had many last-minute guests in the same situation, the staff were handling it all very smoothly.
