The hotel is absolutely superb, the room was good size with a clean modern design. The breakfast was amazing, great selection of food and very helpful staff. The whole experience was great, totally recommend the hotel.

The location of the hotel is wonderful, as it is walking distance into the heart of the city, and an easy walk from the central train station. The staff is extremely helpful and most pleasant. The breakfast was outstanding! Most of all, the staff is what makes the difference at the Clarion Hotel Trondheim..they are fabulous!

The family room is very tight for 4 persons. The shower is open for some reason, which is highly inconvenient. No AC, the room gets quite warm at summer. We got a room with a boring view.

Nicely designed hotel, excellelnt breakfast, complementary toiletry in the bathroom, very good water pressure. Good wifi. In walking distance to everywhere (almost).

Would be nice to have a good coffee or tea without caffeine in the room. And real ceramic cups, not mixed paper/plastic. It could use some addition of coziness as well.

I has an exceptional view over the water line! The breakfast was the best in my entire life, I swear! The stuff was very kind and the rooftop bar was nearby.

The hotel is a big one being a conference hotel. That ensured there was enough space in the common areas and in the breakfast room. The room was spacious, modern and clean. We had a beautiful view of the city. The Rooftop restaurant was nice and has amazing views. The service throughout was friendly and helpful. The garage was spacious and had multiple charging stations for electric cars.

Really good complimentary breakfast with a huge variety of choices, including for vegans. All sorts of fresh breads and home made jams, and mushrooms were a standout. Wonderful views from the buzzing roof top bar. 10-15 minute easy walk to central train station and AirPort Express bus.

Is there an issue with the locks on the room doors? I had some problems trying to open my door one night - apparently I had not closed it properly (unbeknown to me) which is very worrying. My colleague also had issues with closing her door.

Everything at this hotel is set up for comfort and convenience: spacious room, decent shower, good quality shower gel, comfortable bed, enough plugs, decent mirrors and space to hand clothes in. I stay at a lot of different hotels, but this one really seemed to meet my needs. Breakfast was amazing: lots of choice (including freshly-made pancakes) and special shout out to the guy making decent cappuccinos. Front of house staff were friendly, efficient and professional.

I expected the hotel to be very good, but it turned out to be much more than that. Very comfortable room, with a wonderful view of the sunset (at least my room was in that direction), cleanliness was at a high level. The shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom were Rituals, which I really like and you can buy at reception if you want. The breakfast was fantastic, with lots of fruit and nice coffee (prepared personally by a restaurant employee). A great bar on the top floor, with a very spacious terrace and a wonderful view of the city and the bay. Very friendly staff. The hotel has a direct connection to underground parking, which is very convenient, especially in Trondheim. I hope to stay here again someday.

we couldn't get dropped at hotel by FlyBussen so had to walk a distance with luggage, breakfast hour cutoff at 9:30 was a bit early when arriving and jet lagged

Small point but the umbrella lent to me - lots of rain - was in poor condition and so tricky to handle in the wind.

Convenient waterside location, with a nearby bridge over the rail tracks to shorten the walk. Modern hotel with spacious reception area and a good breakfast, including a modest ‘early bird’ selection if you have to depart before breakfast is served.

Not exactly a negative comment: There was something about the room that didn't make it cosy, but I still can't put my finger on it. It was clean and as comfortable as a hotel room can be, but just not very cosy.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing - there was so much to choose from and everything was fresh. Would stay there again just for the breakfast :) The room was clean and they have a great sustainability policy when it comes to cleaning.
