Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandVery odd room outline with a tiny and cold bathroom and a huge "corridor like" room between bathroom and bed. In general, the room was freezing at night even though we turned on the heater. Also, the bathroom was rather dirty when we checked in. On top of that, you can see that the hotel needs a renovation. Food is alright.
Big hotel with spa and pool plus bowling alley. Good location.

Super professional and friendly staff, really thank you! The location is amazing, just next to the train. Station and the ski tracks. The restaurant is excellent, for dinner or breakfast, the service is impeccable.

United StatesIt’s a bit dated. Portions of the spa were not functioning properly. Weight room hard to find (needed to go through long hallway and underground parking). A bit run down.

United Kingdomit is so dated. it felt like a trip to the 1970s and desperately need modernising. however it was clean, warm and welcoming for that is just personal choice. the carpets feel very musty and after the scandi chic everywhere felt very strange.

NorwayWe had higher expectations for the spa, the spa area was more like some different swimmingpools and sauna, not the oasis we were kind of expecting. But it was still nice and relaxing.
Both the dinner and the breakfast was amazing! The room was cozy and nice. It was great with the activites at the hotel. like shuffleboard. bowling and a spa area.

GermanyFor some reason the TV and lamp were not plucked in. It took me a while to figure out that the socket for the TV was actually in the upper corner of the room. The changing room to the pool was a little bit dirty and there were no more towels left. Luckily I had brought my own with me.
I liked the pool and made immediately use of it once I had checked in. The breakfast was nice and the location was perfect as it was in walking distance to the train station

United StatesUnfortunately the pool and spa were closed where closed for the dates we booked. We did not know that until we got there. I would definitely do some outside research when you book to see what is available for the dates you are reserving. We had other plans in the area but I would have been disappointed if Dr. Holms was our main event. The bowling was only open on weekends or Thursday - Saturday, I think. And the restaurants in the area had not great hours for us. The town was kind of between seasons. The staff that checked me in was stand off-ish and I felt like I was having to ask a lot of questions without being offered much in return. But later I had really good staff encounters. Our bathroom light flickered on and off the whole time - I should have mentioned it but I figured the staff knew because cleaners came through and update our bathroom with towels.
The breakfast was great at the hotel. The overall space is quite a complex and has a lot of character. Very close to the train station. Comfortable bed.

United StatesFelt the hotel was a bit understaffed mid week. The pool locker rooms were disgustingly dirty. There should have been staff to clean them. Plus the hot in was shockingly small and not that warm.

NorwayPreferably there should be more elevators at the hotel. The pool/spa opening hrs should be longer, 2100 is too early for a resort like this. The selection at breakfast should be better, and the personnel need to be quicker on refilling different items. There're not enough parking spaces.
In general the location, and easy access to most facilities.

NorwayThe cleaning was not good. All the glasses in our room was dirty that we had to wash ourselves. The toilet wasn't cleaned throughly. The wellness center was closed at 15 on sunday and all day on monday. Turkish bath and outdoor jakuzi were also closed. I expected a kettle and/or coffee machine in the room with some tea and/or instant coffee in a 4 star hotel.
The hotel is very close to the train station. Indoors is very authentic with all old photos and typical Norwegian decorations. Staff was friendly and smiling. Room was spacious.

United KingdomRoom was very small and bathroom facilities quite outdated, although everything worked OK. Our room was directly over the bar which was Ok for the majority of the stay as the hotel was relativly empty and quiet. However on the final night of our stay we were kept awake until after 1am because the hotel had arranged for a local band to play. When we complained we were told that we should have requested a room away from the bar but as we had no advance warning of the proposed entrtainment we think this was an inadequate response and felt it was poor organization on behalf of the hotel.
Greta location at the bottom of the ski slopes and only five mins. walk to shops and train station. Hotel has many food and drink options. Very extensive breakfast offered, tasty light lunches in the bar and a good restaurant. Evening bar food not quite so good but still acceptable. Did not use the spa or swimming pool but they both looked good. Extensive range of other activities (bowling, table football and shuffleboard) all very enjoyable although at extra cost.
