The shower had no curtain or partition so that when we first turned it on, water sprayed all over the floor. We had to make adjustments to the water pressure to keep that from happening. There was no A/C in the room in early June and it was unseasonably hot during the day. Very uncomfortable. Opening the window didn’t help because it allowed birds and bats to fly in (a bat almost flew into our room) and the open window let in raucous noise from the bar past midnight. The mattresses on the bed were a cheap foam and not particularly comfortable.

The location was fabulous! Right on the fjord and within walking distance of town. The reception folks were wonderful at checkin. The hotel had a good restaurant and bar with great service.

Room was very small. Bathroom was smaller yet. Queen bed was two single beds pushed next to each other. Steak for dinner was so marinated that it had no taste of beef.

Breakfast was very good. View was wonderful. Great facility for charging or EV at a low cost and free parking. A great historic hotel.

Dinner was announced till 21h, but the kitchen closed already at 20h45. Everything else in town was also closed by 21h, so we ended up eating a hot dog at the Esso petrol station across the street. That was very disappointing for this classy hotel. :-(

Very nice classic styled hotel with modern bathroom, enjoyable swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The dining room and breakfast buffet are clearly scaled for large groups. Direct access from the train station platform.

Location excellent, right next to train station and gondola (easy for skiing). Very friendly staff. Room was very spacious, could easily accommodate 2 adults and 1 or 2 children. Excellent breakfast buffet.

The dinner food was quite bland to be honest.

The buffet breakfast was amazing. The hotel is so close to the station, the gondola, and all the tourist facilities in town. The hotel is beautiful and historic. I would recommend staying here. We also enjoyed the cocktails served at the bar.

The location is perfect as it is literally next to the train station, good breakfast and the staff are helpful, in the room I would expect a few sugar sticks rather than one for each tea, other than that everything is as expected. 12noon checkout is a plus point for me.

A charming good old grand hotel. Beautiful interior and, yes, some inconveniences you have to accept. Very good price/quality kitchen and an overpriced winelist, but that's Norway I guess.

Wonderful old time hotel with plenty of character. Staff helpful in a very popular hotel. Had bar meal 1st night it was very delicious and filling.
