    A warm dome experience

The cabin got cold at night despite the heater, maybe having curtains on the window would be a big help. Slightly annoying for people staying in the tent to use the bathroom at night as it’s not connected. Also could have been warned about the electric toilet situation in advance, was a bit unsettling to learn of this new toilet system the night before check-in (even though we were able to use it in the end).

Concept is really cool, the attached cabin next to the dome tent is also really nicely setup. The dome tent was really warm and comfortable to sleep in. The people managing the property were really helpful and prompt when we needed to figure something out. Perfect location to go hunting for the lights as it’s far from the city light pollution but not so far distance-wise (we had a car and would recommend this option).

The shower only gave out hot water very briefly. But it wasn't so cold it couldn't be used. Only other thing that could be improved on would be a better hearer in the pod for overnight when the fire has gone out.

The location was spectacular and we saw the northern lights on the last day. The pod was beautiful and the fire was easy to light. The bedding was really warm as well! The toilet was very good and easy to use, as was the kitchen. The host was very quick to reply to any queries and friendly. Views were stunning.

    Glamping experience in Norway/near Tromso

We could not find the spot even we had a map. As we do glamping in our country, this stay was, to be honest, average. The property is not in the best condition - I write about the tiny house. (water drops inside, cracked window..etc) The artic house was fine, but in autumn/winter, where there is minus 6 oC in night, it is cold inside during the night even if you have fire and electric heating on. Also the tiny house is max for 3 people, we were family of 5 and it was not that comfortable.

Quiet place. Quick & easy communication with the owner.

Upon arrival, we discovered the place was very dirty, things were falling apart and fixed with tape and the gas heater was non-functional due to an empty gas tank. Despite making nine unsuccessful attempts to contact the owner, we finally reached him after 45 minutes, only to be offered the option of relocating bedding to a neighboring cabin with thin mattresses. If we wanted to sleep in the dome We should set an alarm to add wood to the woodburner, so we don't freeze during the night. The shower was not properly working! This falls really short of the advertised glamping experience on Booking.com. As a host, I would never dare to offer this to guests, especially not at this price. When we called the customer service of booking they were very helpful!! But when the host noticed we wanted a refund he threatened us with the following options: 1) do you want a 25% refund and stay the night? 2) or do you want a 100% refund and leave immediatly? I have informed my co-hosts about the situation and told them to go down to the site if I dont hear from you on this topic within an hour. So at 10 pm we left the place without and alternative. Thank God booking customer service where so helpfull to find another place near tromso

The hosts were very helpful and Jannik was brilliant on our snow hike. The area and location was beautiful and the perfect place to see the aurora at night. The tent and tiny house is well equipped.

There was a mouse in our bedroom in the igloo at night (obviously, we could not catch it). It got in our luggage unzipped, it ate our chocolate box, and it was unpleasant to know that we could have had many of them or were trying to sleep thinking, will this mouse suddenly get into my blanket? Plus the shower did not work. There were five of us and the shower only warmed up for the first two quick showers. The other three people could not have a shower. The living room and bedrooms on top were freezing. The three other people not in the igloo had to sleep on the floor mat in the little living room because they could not warm up in the other room. Many little things need maintenance. There were lots of little things not working, broken or carelessly kind of fixed. The place has a lot of potential, just needs some care and love.

The idea of the container for the bedrooms on top of the living room and kitchen is cute and well thought out. The igloo is gorgeous and has a lovely fireplace, but it has no connection with the rest of the accommodation. You need to get out in the weather to access the other part of the accommodation, such as the bathroom, in the middle of the night. The location is spectacular. We could see the Aurora Borealis as expected, which was absolutely magical.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

Absolutely loved every second!! Morten was extremely helpful and knowledgeable excellent location, we had moose dear and horses roaming around wild which was amazing to see. We experienced the northern lights for hour upon hours and got some great photos outside and from inside the dome. Previous reviews don't do this place justice, it is remote do research before coming we got a taxi from tromso very easily there and back. The dome will get cold in the night but not if you keep on top of the fire being lit, it's -5-10-15 outside at times if you use common sense you'll have An amazing experience. We were a family of 4, easily accommodated us all, we cooked our own food from the well stocked kitchen.

Needed to feed a wood burner every hour in the dome, otherwise it gets cold very quickly as the dome itself is not well heat insulated and loses all the heat quickly. Hence the whole night I had to wake up every hour, with the help of my alarm clock, to throw a couple of logs of wood into the burner, which was quite stressful and ofc no good sleep. The experience overall is interesting and would be worthwhile, but not for such price - 300+ Euros for a sleepless night shoveling wood into the furnace like a stoker.

Interesting experience Small well heated house next to the dome

The only thing I wish I knew before staying on the farm was understanding the transportation and how frequent the buses came. We arrived very late and the next morning the soonest bus to pick us up was at 3:00 pm and we didn’t have any food. Had we known we would have rented a car for our stay to come and go as we please. We took a taxi and Morten did have someone to help us with transportation as well which we appreciated.

The property was just beautiful! You are surrounded by nature and the housing was perfect for our needs. Very comfortable and cozy. Loved relaxing in the hot tub while enjoying the northern lights. We visited in October and enjoyed seeing the northern lights stretch across the sky. Just magical.

    Nothing

If you want to stay somewhere where you are far from the lights of the city, and have a good chance to see the aurora borealis, you should come here. You have to be ready for living in a luxurious tent, but remember it’s still nature and it’s not a hotel room so you don’t have all of the niceties. For me, I liked it better, it added and heightened, into the overall experience of seeing the aurora. Morten is fantastic and is very attentive to anything that you need . If you’re not sure about how something works he explains it very simply. Finally, he made some great recommendations for us on things to do during the day.
