The halls were a bit drafty. We arrived during the off-season, so the choices of restaurants were slim.

I love that this hotel had beautiful views of the fjords. It was close to the ferry and shopping. I highly recommend that you get a room with a balcony to appreciate the scenery around you.

there was just the one occasion: arrived at the hotel in the early evening and were told at reception that the hotel restaurant was open.When we got to the restaurant, minutes later,it was a full of people (we figured it was a group of tourists) with tables filled with used dishes waiting to be cleared. there was just one waitress for the whole restaurant at that moment. she Informed us that no, they could not serve us. Very disappointing. perhaps it is due to staff shortage…

the view of Geirangerfjord was spectacular and I received an upgrade to a fjord view - perhaps because the hotel wasn’t that busy in October but still very much appreciated.

There was a brown dirt circling the tap that actually can be removed by wiping it, it was small but I didn’t expect to find it because the rest of the bathroom was sparkling clean. The bathtub was leaking if you used it but it got dry pretty fast. The hospitality of the front office staff could have been improved (some of them, but of course all of them should have performed the same standard of good customer service).

I love the room interior, warm and cozy, and spacious with a simple balcony facing the fjord. The location is so close to the public transport access and very near to the center. Coffee and tea selection are a lot with variety. Breakfast was simple and nice and you can have your breakfast packed if you have to leave pretty early in the morning.

I am disabled and the door entrance to the bathroom had a big step to walk over The bus arrives at 9pm in Gieranger and the kitchen closes by the. They could make a cheese plate up but it is not exactly catering to guests. At Breakfast it is everyone fend for themselves to grab a table, get cutlery, plates etc. Looked like a lack of staff as tables not cleared, waiting for plates etc to be washed, cooked food to be replenished etc. Giving the price paid for the hotel I didn't expect breakfast to be like that especially as half of the breakfast room was closed off.

I had the room with a balcony and the view (albeit over the roof of the hotel annex) was stunning looking directly at the fjord. However the room was very small. Chatting to the staff.
