I'd say a car is needed to get to the hotel and to allow further options in the evening as options in the ski area itself are a bit limited. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. Rooms can be quite noisy, especially in the morning with doors banging etc. This didn't last all night though and was tolerable.

The rooms are fairly basic, but beds are comfortable and room had a private bathroom which is all you need really on a skiing holiday. The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant has amazing views over the valley. We ate at the restaurant one evening and the food and service were excellent. We skied in mid April and the conditions were great. Hotel is only a few steps to the slopes.

Gréât location on the Peer Ghynt x-country trail. Super views from our room and restaurant. Very friendly staff, especially in the restaurant. Great choice of food: liked that they did a cheaper buffet option.

The hotel doesn’t clear snow on the territory. Unfortunately, we missed a ferry due to a snowfall on our departure day.

Great proximity to ski lifts. As a bonus, the hotel has a sauna, that can be used free of charge.

we had a kettle in the room but no coffee or tea. no heated floor which is a minus during winter.

The rooms are renovated quite recently and nice, but the toilet was of old standard. The ventilation in our room felt a bit inadequate, there were a lot of moist on the inside of the windows in the morning and the air felt a bit stale.

Good breakfast, had everything we wanted. The location is great, super close to the slopes. Free parking. You got water boiler and tea in the rooms. In the evening you can choose between some buffé or a la carte. We only tried the buffét, which is not fantastic, but its quite good given the price.

It's an old hotel with ok standards. The beds are new and great, great breakfast, pleasent staff and the location is fantastic.

The road up to the hotel is a little ropey, so good to be prepared for that if driving in the winter. Otherwise all was good, except a little noise from the plumbing during the night.

Amazing location, straight onto the Kvitfjell slopes and right near the ski rental if you need it. Free car parking right outside the property. Great free breakfast, helpful staff, overall very nice for the money, and would definitely stay there again.

Really helpful and friendly staff. The views were amazing. The location was perfect for the ski lifts. Straight onto the snow with just enough distance to the main lift to get warmed up for the first run of the day. (Also close to Koia: cool little bar full of mad skiing memorabilia)

Location location location! Ski in ski out, the slopes just behind the window. We stayed in double room, its enough space for two. The hotel also has cabins for 4, 6 or 8 people. Breakfast is standart. We didn't dine there, but there is a buffet from 19h and its around 300kr per person. Anyway, nothing fancy but nice and clean, we will come back!

Nothing we don’t like - that’s why we keep coming back several times per season!

This is our 6th stay at the Kvitfjell hotel. It has incredible location next to one of the main ski lifts, the rooms have great view overlooking the slopes or looking towards the forest. It has everything you may need for a ski vacation. The breakfast is very good (try the small ssausages😍). They offer great dinner options too. The staff is always incredibly kind.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We are a family of 4 and picked Kvitfjell Hotel as our base for skiing holiday. The rooms are not huge but gives you all comfort you need. The best part is that you are literally 1 min walk from the lift, 15 sec from sauna and also you have the access to the small gym. For our 2 sons that was absolutely brilliant. If you like cross country skiing, you have over 250 km of tracks around this hotel. Overall, fantastic place to stay - 10.

woman ski world cup 2023 was on slopes on which hotel is located. all of that for best ski rental and for price three or four times cheaper than mammouth in california.
