Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomMy sister was with us & booked a single room. However she was on the 3rd floor & had no outlook. We did suggest she ask for another room but she didn’t want to make a fuss.
Bedroom had an excellent view. The buffet breakfast was excellent. We used the restaurant on 2 occasions but found the choice on the menu very limited & being from Britain the food was expensive but that was to be expected.

AustraliaEven with a towel there was water all over the floor after my shower (it wasn't like I splashed it all around purposely or that the drainage was blocked). I'm a little weirded out by the king single doonas on a queen bed, but this is not unique to this hotel.
There's coffee in the lobby if you need a pick-me-up during your day of wandering, and because the hotel is perfectly located you can do this easy. The view from my room over Bryggen was perfect, and I sat on the seat there with my laptop looking out a few times. The breakfast was great and varied, and the bed comfy.

The property is an excellent location to the speed boats up the coast and to the downtown area!!! The receptionists (3 of them we met) were superb!!! Very helpful and outgoing!! A true asset to your hotel!!!

PolandWe booked a room with breakfast, but we had an early flight so we ordered breakfast to go for 6:00 am. We checked out at 6:30 and it weren’t ready. We had no time to wait so we had to leave without it.
Hotel is very well located, rooms are really clean. Staff is very nice and helpful (especially waitresses and Monica from reception). Breakfast was excellent, with many options to choose from (gluten free included).

United StatesThe location is just behind the harbor and Brygge area and the morning breakfast and some rooms overlooks the bay. My room was in the mansard roof, with a large roof window that provided privacy yet lots of light. Very quiet floor- I heard no neighbors or street. Unusual bathroom with glazed door and shower slot. The buffet in the morning was wonderful. Staff was exceptional with check-in and all aspects I interacted. The bar and dining spaces are first class, but aside from breakfast I did not use.

Very central in the heart of Bergen and I had an absolute fantastic view of Bryggen and the harbor! The food at the restaurant is superb and the room very comfortable 😊 👍

GreeceI would suggest more towels to be available at the bathroom, not just two per person. For me there should be one for stepping on after the shower and a hand towel. I would place sth in the shower for putting on the shower and shampoo.
I loved the room design, there was enough space to lay out some things off of our luggage. The location was perfect as well as the communication with the accommodation people.

New ZealandThe only thing stopping us giving this property 10/10 in all respects was the fact that the wall electric sockets stopped delivering electricity during the final night of our stay, meaning we couldn’t charge our devices. This created problems for us during the day of travel ahead.
