Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SpainThere weren't neither bed sheets nor towels, nevertheless it was not indicated that you should bring your own. The cleanliness could be improved a bit specially on the kitchen. finally, the process to get they key was not easy because i was supposed to receive a SMS with the instructions and I didn't . It would be much easier to show this information in the app with your booking and not depend on third parties.
The location was good. The place was cozy and comfortable. The view and the balcony are really nice.

NetherlandsWe didn't realize we had to bring our own bed linnen, but luckily we had our own sleeping bags with us. It would be nicer if the beds had sheets and some linen, and if there were towels in the bathroom.
The place was clean and comfortable. We stayed there for the night on two long days of driving. Beds slept good, the apartment had a nice view. The host was very friendly and responded quickly on my messages in the booking process.

ChinaWe were surprised there is no linen and towel , if you want to use a linen it costs another 20 euro. We were asked to clean up after the stay and being directed to drive few kilometers tooking for a place to dispose the trash as there is no trash containers at the property. It is not really clear where the trash supposed to be dispossessed. All of these are not declared before you book. A message regarding to those unreasonable requirements is only sent to you after this non-refundable reservation has been made and paid. When we asked the owner why there was no linen and it was not mentioned anywhere in the booking page, her answer was 'It also didn't say it's included, I'm a private person not a hotel, I can decide what is included. ' This is totally unreasonable. If there is any unusual requirements, the information should be clear in the description or policy of the property in booking.com . This information is sent out automatically in a message after the reservation, therefore there is no chance to consider these aspects before the reservation has been completed.
The kitchen and the view was quite good.
