Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

NorwayWe have chosen room with two separate beds for two mens. We got a room with double bed and it was not a choice to sleep together, so one of the men have to sleep in a car. Very bad customer service, instead of getting one more room or room with two beds, we got apologising and ignoring after. NOT RECOMMEND!

ItalyThe room was very hot, the bed quite small. We spent an awful night, it was almost impossible to sleep. We could not open the window because if we did so, people could have entered the room from the street since it was a huge window opening directly on the outside at a ground level. We could not "remove layers" to sleep a bit better because the curtain didn't cover the window completely and people walking in the street could easily see us from outside, which happened. There was a lipstick in the bathroom and no soap even tho it was supposed to be there. When I arrived, earlier than the check in time, as It had already announced in advance, I was stuck outside for one hour calling the structure with no success, as , in fact, after a long waiting time at the phone, nobody picked it up and the phone call was simply closed. There was nobody inside, since everything is self service, check in included, and not a place where we could sit down and wait for the room to be available or leave our baggages. Fortunately it was sunny outside but if it was a bad day it would have been very very uncomfortable. After we got the key to enter, delivered with a message on how to unlock the locker, we got a message that said we would have had to pay extra 2700 nok if we lost the key and some extra money if the room was particularly dirty when we left. Not really the type of welcoming we expected. Last but not least, not a single place where we could buy some water to drink, which became a problem due to the super warm temperature (the bathroom was set to 31°C!!) so we had to walk around on a holiday, in the middle of nowhere, trying to find a place that sold it. We bought them in the end, for a super expensive price (122 nok for 2 small bottles of water, but we were desperate), at the Clarion Hotel nearby, where we could also ask for informations about the bus shuttle to the airport.

SingaporeThe check-in process was atrocious! Self check-in process was over-complicated and over-reliant on technology. I was supposed to receive a personalised link via email or sms?! I didn't even receive any link and had to make multiple expensive international calls to the property and booking.com to resolve it, in the middle or the night! If I made a booking on booking.com, ALL the instructions should have been communicated through this site, instead of externally (email or sms). Also, there was no bathing soap and shampoo!
Clean, comfortable place to stay, quite near Oslo airport.

ItalyThey do not provided the correct information to get the key. After 40 min at 1:00 am while snowing finally they answered to phone and unlocked the box from remote, then I had to change and finding building. Wasn't impossible with provided info. If you are so lucky to get the key and the room then you will face with the very noisy fridge while trying to sleep. They do not provided info about the shuttle (platform 40 nor the stop, Clarion Hotel or Runnway)

Abkhazia, GeorgiaThe structure has no people, its everything automatized, with codes that you get by email. you get the keys from a box in a house and then you need to find out ehere the proper house with the room is located, but when you get there, there's no key to open the outside door. If it wasn't for a person who lived there that kindly open us the door, we would have been stayed outside all night long under the snow!! Then the key of the room was completly twisted and didn't open the room door, and we had to call a number that made us wait more than an hour to fix the situation, sended us back to the first house, change the key with the one of another room, and back again....we arrived at 00 and we were able to get in a room at 2.30 am. The room was completely different from the picture, the bed was too small for two adults, and we also discovered that the breakfast we paid for was not included, and the woman at the telephone told us that they do not do breakfast service.... this was not a b&b service, but a fraud indeed.
There was NO BREAKFAST, even if we paid for it
