The folded extra bed for our child had not been unfolded when we arrived, and space for it had not been cleared. The bathroom flooded completely when using the shower, with no squeegee to enable us to dry the floor. A shower gel container was there but had run out; and the shower made a strange noice when used. The cost of our stay was expensive.

Breakfast was good, and the bed was comfortable.

I expected a view of the bay, but got a view of a huge ship, the parking near the hotel does not belong to the hotel and I had to pay an additional 250 kroons for parking, I booked a room for two adults and a child, when I arrived they demanded to pay 300 NIS for a bed for a child . In a word, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in....

We should have made certain the room would not be facing the street. If you book here, be sure to avoid our mistake, as the traffic continues all night. The room was ok for a short stay. The bath lights are controlled by a motion sensor, so if you open the door in the night, the lights go on. and sometimes they go back off in about 30 seconds. We enjoyed the restaurant until a tour bus group arrived. At that point it was too noisy to carry on a conversation.

The hotel is close to bus route 65 that goes to the Ålesund airport. The lobby, bar, and restaurant are attractive. The restaurant food was quite good.

The bed was awful. it was concave and we were not able to sleep. on the floor there were some small glass pieces, probably from some glass that was broken to the previous guests. the lady at the check in was not nice. she smiled but it looked like she knew that it was expected from her.

Ordered room delux with the sea view they had given this room to someone else. The price was high for the room but needed renovations. Much of the warm food in breakfast was cold and had no descriptions of what it was in English.

Bathroom was poorly planned. Had glass walls which although opaque le light into the bedroom. The room we booked for three adults was very small and cramped and we had to upgrade to a larger room paying an additional 400NOK

The parking garage smelled awful, like all the deep friers in the world have gathered there. A dash of the same smell came into the room each evening. Cleaning daily routines far from their best. The bed was jumpy and rattling. But the city is absolutely wonderful!

broken shower faucet, no window, non-working air conditioning, stuffy in the room... the receptionist during check-in took the money and told where the room was, no additional information, about breakfast etc. I was last in line so it's not because he was in a hurry. Norwegian-speaking guests in front of me got a completely different service. in many places if there are some problems in the room, e.g. with air conditioning or shower, you can report to the reception for help. However, here after such a check-in I did not see the point. Apparently, the hotel has its own anti rules on how to treat guests. I have been living in Norway for quite a long time. I know Norwegian... So I know perfectly well what information other guests got and what I got. when you come across such a service you can understand why a smart hotel is the future of the hotel industry.

There was many gluten free options (dry bread though and muesli not so clearly marked), but the staff was not knowledgeable about a gluten free diet (e.g. every morning I got a suggestion to use the normal toaster, which would make the bread not gluten free). Norsk cøliakiforening probably has a list of tips/information that could be used to educate the staff with the basics. Also, coffee milk ran out every morning and I had to ask for it many times

The gym was excellent, comfortable bed.
