We decided to upgrade to a standard room with a view and unfortunately, when we arrived the window looked directly onto another part of the hotel. You couldn’t have the curtains open as you could see directly into one another’s rooms and only if you leant to the window and craned your neck could you see some of the water. We queried this with the staff and they said they were fully booked and so we couldn’t change rooms. Admittedly, we spent little time in the room so it didn’t matter too much but I would question the photographs and marketing they have of their ‘sea view rooms’, I’m sure some of them are wonderful but this isn’t consistent; had we known this in advance we wouldn’t have bothered upgrading and just saved the money (roughly £55 extra a night).

The bed in the room had a noticeable rip on the side. There are no food options past breakfast. The staff in the restaurants have terrible service. Waiting 60 minutes for a pizza is unacceptable for a 4 star hotel restaurant. The staff in the restaurant are also rude. They expect us to find our own table as if they don’t know where anyone sits. For 300 euros a night, it’s definitely not value for money.

This was a beautiful place to stay. It is right in the heart of Tromsø's tourist centre. The bus from the airport is simple. The breakfast was healthy food, with a great variety, and an ambient dining room. As well, the gym and sauna facilities were incredible and offered an amazing view of the water and city.

The breakfast offering could have been better- wider range of foods, more access to salads and juices. Also finding a way to signal that the table is occupied when first heading to the buffet would prevent having to move tables.

the Location was fantastic from perspective of the overall view, but also proximity to various attractions in the town centre. Lots of nice walks to be enjoyed from the hotel and various shops to get last minute items were very handy.

Location is perfect. Right by the harbour near restaurants and the Main Street. Bus stops within easy reach. Our room had a view of the sea and the mountains opposite.

We couldn't figure out how to turn off the light on the thermostat. I toss and turn in the night so when facing it, struggled to sleep, as it was very bright. I could have bought an eyemask but I didn't know I'd need one, I don't usually wear one, and I wouldn't know where to find one in Tromso plus it would be super expensive I imagine! The amenities for hot drinks don't include milk; as Brits, we favour tea over coffee but Europeans don't seem to drink tea that much, and if they do, it's flavoured without the addition of milk so just something to bear in mind if you're a (British) tea drinker.

I loved the aesthetic of the Radisson, I always do! Tromso was no exception. We got a free upgrade which was unexpected but very welcome. Our room was spacious for two people with lots of lovely amenities such as a kettle, nice toiletries and such. Each day we got new cups, new amenities and fresh towels. The staff were friendly and pleasant. To my surprise, this was the cheapest hotel available for our dates. Plug sockets were close to the bed which is also a thoughtful, welcome touch. The location was absolutely incredible, right in the centre and our tour meeting points were literally at our hotel and the hotel opposite - perfect! We had a generous check out time of midday on our final day which was ideal as we didn't fly back until the evening. I have stayed at the Radisson in different cities on multiple occasions and always find it a lovely hotel.

Expensive for a tiny room, but we only stayed one night so didn't need much more. Tromso as a whole is very expensive.

I had asked for a room with sea view when available since I was there for 9 nights. The staff put a notation to my reservation, but nobody made an effort to check or contact me when sea view rooms were available. Not happy about that.

Breakfast was adequate. A variety of choices.The hotel is conveniently located. The room size, bed and room temperature comfortable, adequate.

No bottled water in the room The plugs! Drove me bananas, I had to plug the jug into a plug on the bottom of the wall at the foot of the bed. Very weird. Shower was great, bed was comfy albeit very small, the location was excellent. Would stay again but would pay a bit more for a bigger room

Look it was a very small room but I expected it. The single is a small single so just be aware. I hardley spent any time In the room so I was ok with it but it’s definitely small
