Room very warm, unable to adjust (though the heated bathroom floor was nice), most of the lights didn’t work. Restaurant had very limited dinner options for vegetarians.

Great location, great breakfast, clean room, dock and stairs into fjord. Beautiful glassed-in outdoor seating. Luggage storage so we could explore unencumbered. Bus stop across the street.

The standard of food served at the restaurant was too low when compared to the overall hotel and prices. Not saying the food was bad, but it did not feel professional at all. The recipees were something I make at home when I don't want to spend too much time in the kitchen.

Renovation works were underway which made the hotel dusty and noisy at times - annoying if trying to rest or work. Lack of leisure facilities.

Good buffet breakfast on offer, the room was spacious with a great view of the fjord. Sizeable car park and hotel is close to the other (not many) amenities of the town.

Bathroom was cold. There was no electric underfloor heating, or were they not switched on?

Limited amenities in the room and the hotel is showing signs of wear and tear due to its age, still lovely regardless, may need some upkeep though.

We are staying at this hotel mainly for our dinner at Iris Restaurant (Salmon Eye), so the location is perfect, only 8 mins drive to the dock. Beautiful Fjord view from our rooms. The food at the restaurant is good, staff are friendly and accommodating. Perfect stay for a vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the main cities.

A question about the number of emloyee in restaurant as we observed they where almost running to and from the tables serving or cleaning up for dishes. If enough emplyees that would not be nescessary !

Food is a bit pricey, I would have expected better quality given price and lack of choice. It would have been better if sauna was open to multiple people at the same time. Rather than having to book it individually each time.

Fantastic view from rooms and restaurant. Very spacious. Good sauna. Good food for Norway. And rosendal is such a lovely place. Very peaceful place. Mostly Norwegians clients.

We went there off season, so the place was bare and empty and breakfast wasn't what we were used to. But I don't think it's comparable to travelling in season.

Rosendal is a beautiful place with beautiful people, and hotel bears and old charm. Staff is very friendly and rooms are clean.

The restaurant serves no a la carte but preconfigured dinners (I think it was two). The fish dinner was basically the same every day, only slight variation, no proper wine glasses

The room was a litle old fasioned and in the evening partyuing people used the area just outside our balcony as a smoking quarter. It was no aircondition and we had to keep the balcony door open.

Hotel presentation on Booking partly shows renovated parts of hotel and is not representative, seems that generally over the years maintenance und renovation have been neglected, bath tub shower with shower curtain, sealings against wall defective, strong musty odor in bathroom, room and bathroom facilities more than outdated, partly defective; except the fjord the village itself has not much to offer and appears run down
