The elevator's in a congested area and often overly busy and crowded.

The location is perfectly located near the pickup point for most activities and also adjacent to the harbor for activities on the water. The breakfast is also very good.

The food choices were wide-ranging. The room was very warm despite icy conditions outside. We had a lovely view of the harbour and the front desk staff were courteous and friendly.

Great location within Tromsø with lots of restaurants and cafés🥐 nearby.Warm room and comfortable bed looking out over the fjord and mountains. 🗻Staff friendly and approachable. Breakfast very nice with barista coffee. ☕️ We had a lovely experience in Tromsø and would definitely return to Scandic Ishavshotel if we visit again in the future.😊 p.s airport express bus very efficient and convenient and stops right outside hotel.

We booked a double room and with that you expect a double bed and not two singles pushed together. If a double mattress was on top that would be great but it was two single mattresses ver disappointing.

The staff at reception were very helpful but the gentleman serving coffee at breakfast was dismissive and rude.

The room was lovely, spacious and with a view over the harbour. The hotel is located very centrally and with easy walking distance to central Tromso, walking distance from the port where we disembarked from our Havila Voyage and the airport bus stopped right outside for when we left. The breakfast choices were incredibly plentiful and all very fresh and tasty.

In short - a below average four-star hotel, with three-star service (except for Reception staff) at five-star rates. Room without closets or shelves, just two hangers on two wall hooks (three others were broken). Narrow, split-level Junior Suite, with uncomfortable stairs. Pricey buffet dinner with no refills when dishes run out. Noisy student party on Saturday night with drunk young men in the hallway. Dining room and maintenance service was cold, distant, even impolite .... we were scolded for trying to fill a jug from the soda-water fountain. Tried to reserve a table for following evening, were told we'd be informed if one is available, and didn't hear back. Constant line at the single-server station for breakfast coffee. Room was not vacuumed on at least one day that we could tell. Hallway carpet has seen better days. Even considering the remote location of the hotel, at close to $500 a night we should be writing a very different review.... Disappointing.

Excellent location, most convenient. Breakfast offered good variety and quantity. We had adjacent rooms as requested. Reception desk was available, courteous and helpful on two occasions.

Waiting time at the elevators. Room on the third floor had the roof directly on the same level in front of the windows - although you can still see the bridge if there isn’t any ship docked.

Comfortable bed, nice sized room. Port and sightseeing locations as supermarkets in walking distance.

- The level of service is decent, but not on par with the price of the hotel. The room is smallish, there is no bath mat, there was a black stain on one of the duvet cover. I would expect this kind of loose standards for an hotel that would charge half the price of this one. - There was a very noisy celebration hosted in the conference room on Saturday night, apparently a students night. We could hear the music up to the 4th floor.

- Breakfast is a nice big buffet with lots of options. - Convenient location, a short walk away from most of the centers of interest in Tromso.
