Enjoyed a pleasant stay at the hotel with great amenities and comfortable accommodations. However, was a bit disappointed with the front desk staff's responsiveness. Overall, a nice experience, but room for improvement in customer service

There was a small misunderstanding. I booked a room for 3 nights in booking, and the hotel took out my luggage on the third day, because I only paid the room charge for the first two nights (the room charge for 2 days was automatically swiped by the card), but I did not pay the room charge for the third night, but no one reminded me to swipe the card again, but finally the staff solved the problem for us. We also checked into other rooms. So to remind all passengers of this situation, you can ask the staff about the payment of the room rate.

Basin was out of order, so we were so inconvenient during the stay. And we saw hair in the morning buffet every mornings(3days). We removed it ourselves, but my 12 years of daughter found a piece of plastic on her food. We informed it to the staff, but no one apologized to us. I hope your hotel more care of cleanliness and checks the foods to be served.

The location is perfect, and the view was also very nice. Our family was happy with Ishavshotel in Tromsø. If I visit Tromsø again, I will stay at this hotel again.

The STAFF. Extremely unfriendly and often gave one word answers to common questions without even looking up. They seemed “bothered” by the existence of the customers who are the reason they have a job.

Location! Very central to everything. Also views were outstanding. The breakfast was excellent. Facility was clean.

- no spoons or milk in the room, despite kettle & tea/ coffee - never clear when roast , the in house restaurant was open and no menu displayed so we never ate here which was a shame

- Breakfast buffet was one of the best we have ever had - so so many options & delicious - location was amazing - most excursions departed from next to hotel and it was a short work into the main town

The only thing making my rating 9 instead of 10 is that we asked beforehand coming about a parking spot, never could book one. We called the day we arrived to ask and they said they still have one spot. Once arrived at the hotel, they said we didn't have a spot, so we parked our car in the streets not far from the hotel. And we I checked out, they ask me to pay for the parking spot, whereas we didn't used it! I told them so, plus the whole story of mailing and calling, and they said that they won't charge for the spot.

The hotel was very well located, easy to access, big entrance hall, big room for breakfast, huge choice of food, the room was spacious and clean, the view from it exceptional (view of the port), beds were comfortable as well

The location is quite strategic, near the water body and right across it is a picturesque mountain, so the morning views are fabulous. In addition, it is also the pickup location of many artic packages (northen lights hunt, cruise, boat rides) so it’s really convenient. The staff is nice, they allowed us to change our room to one with a nicer view (initial room had a partial wall to the window that kind of obstructed the view), changed to a room with a full window. Bfast buffet while the food selection is not spectacular, it is still good, and there’s also a barista station where the staff can brew coffee for you

The breakfast was comprehensive and good food. As an English person travelled Ng having a good cup of tea in the morning is important to me and they had good tea :) but the food was really good in the morning. English and continental options available. Good service as well. The room was a very good size and clean with the staff being excellent. They were able to give advice about transportation, help with problems we were having and very friendly. The location was also very good all our excursions started around or at the hotel so that helped.

The room could have been a little cleaner and the beds are pretty soft. That would be the only slight negative of a lovely stay here.

The location is absolutely perfect and has an airport bus stop directly outside (airport express). Breakfast every morning was 10/10. Lots of options for all. We did eat at the in house restaurant Roast one night and that was delicious. Our room was warm and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and very helpful.

It’s quite expensive but that’s to be expected in this part of the world

Location is so central! Lots of the tours and activities start around this area, and the airport bus stops right outside. You have great views from all sides of the hotel. The breakfast choice is amazing. Generous check out time at 12pm

First check in my room 5th floor good view but I don’t like . Have ship all day all night and spot light from ship in to room. Close curtain good view for what ? Carpet in room,too old . I ask to change for new room next day smaller than my booking without return discount but we’re happy breathing

When we checked in, the initial male staff member from reception was not very welcoming or helpful, in fact he was quite rude. Subsequent times that we approached front reception they weren’t very helpful either and seemed annoyed by any questions. It was a shame because everything else about our stay was excellent

It was a lovely place to stay close to everything. The room was clean and you could open the windows to let fresh air in, the bed was comfortable and there was a kettle and tea and coffee in room. The breakfast spread is very good with a huge range to suit any diet.
