I recommend the superior room. My colleague got the standard room and it is too small.

Very cramped- not really any space to put suitcases without tripping over them on the way to use the bathroom. Also no rug or boot tray for the entrance which meant as the snow melted off our shoes by the door, slush and gravel got into our socks. Fine for one night but not great if you were here for a longer stay. Breakfast also a let-down compared to other Scandic locations but not bad!

I booked it incorrectly thinking it was closer to the railway station, but that was my mistake. We had a pleasant stay!

Though very small, the rooms were well designed. We had previously stayed at another Scandic which was newer and more spacious - the breakfast was generous.

The reception service at checkout, specifically the handling of a a serious fault of the bathroom. Taking our shower in the morning turned out to be a real hassle. He shower drain turned out to be not working and the bathroom floor got flooded. It was on the verge of flooding over the bathroom door entrance barrier and into the hotel room. In the preceding evening, we had placed our winter socks on the bathroom floor to have warm socks in the morning (it was cold in Oslo those days), these got soaked by the flooding. After he first person had showered, we had to wait quite some time for he second person to shower as he draining of the floor was very slow. Upon checking out, I clearly advised the receptionist that they had to attend to shower drain to avoid possible flooding damage and so that subsequent guests to this room would have the same experience - i did not get any clear impression that this advice was received and understood, so i tried to repeat - possibly it was received but I could not know. Then I explained that I felt that this bathroom experience meant that we had not got received functionality that we had paid for and asked that a compensation for the lacking functionality and inconvenience would be appropriate. Initially, neither this message seemed to be understood, but after some discussing I was told that this had to be brought to the receptionists manager. The manager obviously was not available. I was then asked to give my phone number and I was promised to be called up later in day. Now, more than 24 hours later I have not been contacted. Even though the manager may have made a decision to reject my request for compensation, I had at least expected a call to inform me of that. I am still waiting ...

Room was OK for the price paid, Breakfast was beyond expectations.

The accessible entrance could not be opened without a room key from the outside. We had to use the non-accessible entrance to check in.

Work related stay and got a room without any table or work desk, so difficult to get my work done in my room. The hotel hallway was warmer than my very cold room, but two blankets did help out :-)

Our room was not cleaned properly. There were stains, hair on the bathroom floor and I found a (dog?) toy under the nightstand.

I had to wait between 10 and 15 mins before anyone came to check me in. I was surprised at how small the room was. and the fact that the bed was against the window making pulling the curtains somewhat awkward. Some of the bathroom fittings were damaged

The building and decor out quite dated. I’ve stayed at other Scandic hotels before and this one definitely felt like it was on a level below the others.

Close to the attractions. Friendly staff. Buffet breakfast had a wide variety and was good. Close to bars and restaurants aswell as the train and bus terminals all being within walking distance

The only thing bad was Wednesday early morning when some trucks dumped a lot of glass next to our hotel and that was really noisy.

It was really close to everything and nice and cozy. The breakfast hall was big enough for everyone and next to the hotel there was a giftshop and a sports bar.
