How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The bathroom is a little crowded.
Clean room, with pleasant decor. Pleasant, helpful and friendly staff. Nice bathroom with plenty of hot water. Good dining at reasonable prices with attentive staff.

No one came to clean the room even though we stayed for 4 nights and put up a "Please clean" sign almost every day. There is no meal option when you make the reservation, you have to request it on the spot and they only offer breakfast. If you walk, it is far from the center.
The room was nicely furnished, warm and we had a terrace. The lobby is modern, quiet and peaceful. Easy check-in and check-out.

I stayed only one night so didnt spotted any minuses.
For me personally the price i paid was worth it. I expexted less than i got. Easy check in, easy checkout, no useless ceremonies. Ofcourse it was 40 mins walk to the center, but as a person i have no problem i love walking. Ofcourse it wasnt 5 star hotel but for the price i paid i was impressed

There was a deep dent in the mattress.
Metro station is quite close. Room was clean and except the bed issues everything was fine.

-the cleanliness could be improved. The toilet was full of 'dry drops' of old water and the room was a little bit dusty. -the balcony door was a little bit broken (difficult to open) -very thin walls (could hear the neighbors' talks)

My door room was a little hard to open haha, but I got used to it really fast, and I can't really say anything that pissed me off or made me angry or not satisfied :)
Everything was great, staff was super positive and nice, the location is really good, 10 min by bus to bus station, also like 5 minutes from underground, that goes any way that you want, my apartment was fine as well.

Sound isolation is very very bad. I could not sleep all night because of the sounds coming from outside. If you pay breakfast the day before, you get 40kron discount but i was not informed about this. So i had to pay full price.
The place was clean and the equipments inside are enough. The breakfast was perfect but it is 190nok. Helpful and friendly stuff Good location

The area was clearly the more up and coming area of Oslo. It is not fully developed yet and this led us to feel unsafe at times, since we were two girls travelling. Our room was a budget twin room and the window was right on the street. It was sometimes loud when individuals would be outside. The staff was not friendly or welcoming at all. We felt like we were a bother to them.
The location was okay. Walk to the city centre but an area nearby with a couple of bars, restaurant and bakeries.

Had a sort of kitchen in my room, no fridge, but oddly a dishwasher, but no plates or other utensils.

The Breakfast were a little bit expensive even if it's a buffet, but that's an issue with Norway in general, it's quiet an expensive city. Also we haven't found soap in our room which is a detail but was important for us.
The Location was perfect 5min walk from the Metro Station and 5min by Metro to the City central station which is close to the Oslo Opera House. For such location, the price was good. Breakfast was great but had to pay for it. The Hotel and the room were clean.

Our key card wasn’t working on the first day we arrived. And during our entire stay we had to always double check if the door was locked, because it still didn’t want to lock the door. The first day we came in to an extremely cold room. The heating was off and no one told us how to us it. We had to figure it ourselves. The water in the shower was just warm and we were cold while showering. The breakfast wasn’t that great and coffee was horrible.
It was a new, renovated hotel. Great value for the money. The location is good with a metro connection, shops, bakery and restaurants.

A/C controls broken on arrival, no maintenance available. Do not believe they were full so I should have been offered a different room. Room was hot, would have been worse if not for the balcony door. Shower door was off track, kept putting it back so water would not go everywhere. Safe had no instructions, staff did not know how to work it. Could not charge food to room (is that a European thing, have done it elsewhere). Coffee only available in lobby restaurant and it was bad. Lots of street noise because kept balcony door open a lot due to no A/C. They need to update and get some USB outlets, with only one adapter, hard to keep everything charged. Off the beaten path but this place could be nice, just with no A/C, and minor inconveniences, really was not a good option for me.
Beds were true double beds and comfortable, not two twins pushed together with no topping. On 5th floor, water pressure was great. Place was clean. Close to metro stop. Pizza from restaurant was good.

The room was clean but old and needed some maintenance. Also, it was so noisy, you could hear all that was happening in the street. It needs a better isolation system.
The location was very good. Less than 1 minute to the bus stop and the subway. It was so easy to check in and out through the self check. The hotel reception was very nice.
