Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe room was pretty small for the price. There was no bedside table in spite of there being plenty of space for one. Also, it was a bit annoying to have to check in at one building then drive to the actual accommodation. Especially since Google map sent us to the accomodation which meant we had to go back and forth to get checked in. Because we were travelling we did not see the email explaining the check in procedure until after we arrived.
Torsken Brygge is right by the water. From the shared spaces, there is a great view across the fjord. Staff are friendly and helpful at both the accomodation and the nearby restaurant where breakfast is served and you can get a nice dinner with a great view as well. Both building have good size decks to enjoy during good weather. We liked our room for the view out the back window to the mountains. And I liked the little electric candles, they made it cozy.

TaiwanExpected more with the room, as I stayed on the 1st floor, felt the ceilings are quite low, and the windows are facing the parking lot/entrance of the hotel so not that comfortable to have the curtains up or a good view, rooms on the 2nd floor might be better
Truly amazing staff, tasty dishes and loved the fish in particular and I am not even a seafood person! The room was very clean and new, communal area is cozy, stunning view in front of the property, too. Would suggest more for those who have a car, as the village itself is quite remote, but if you are looking for a cozy place to stay and don't mind just staying in the property, then Torsken Brygge could also be a good choice. There's a small grocery shop nearby.

GermanyVery nice place in Brygge. We used it to stay there over night and start with the Senja national tourist route in the morning. For that, it is perfect. The rooms are nice and clean and there is a shared room/kitchen with an amazing view of the Fjord. Breakfast was good, but as we were the only guests for that night, there was no staff and we received a nice basket with food prepared for us in the refrigerator. The restaurant which is linked to the hotel is a few hundred meters away, but the food was excellent and it is a clear recommendation.

United KingdomThe room was small and was not serviced at all during our stay. The kitchen/lounge area is great but lacks a hob/microwave/oven so you’re unable to cook for yourself. There are no washing facilities in the building we stayed in. We had to walk 500m+ to the restaurant area which was fine but then the two washing machines for the whole site (not enough) were in constant use with a long queue. Be aware that breakfast is located in this building too - not onsite.
Location is excellent, great view from the lounge/kitchen area. Good breakfast compared to other hotels internationally, but average compared to other places we stayed in Norway. Rooms / facilities are new and clean. Restaurant was lovely for dinner but expensive. Recommend going to the pub downstairs in Torsken Brygge for pizza (Fri and sat nights only).

FranceThe shared-living room of the house is beautifull, the view on the fjord is incredible. It was very clean the breakfast very good, the people there were really nice.
The breakfast was very goog with real home made "brioche", bread ... the location is lost in nowhere, the place is beautifull , and the building is brand new, but the other houses around are not all nice, some of them are "abandonned" it is a pity for the location that could be really beautifull.

FinlandRather narrow beds (70cm). It would be good to have an card of instructions/tips, e.g. opening hours of the restaurant, that the night lamp has an USB charger, a map of the buildings/area etc. Also a small night table would be nice. The common lounge in the second floor had kitchen space but no cooking or heating possibilities. Also the corridors could have some acoustic panels to dampen the noise of people walking by. No wifi available for now. The breakfast should be more effective, instead of trying to be very fancy just make sure that the bowls are not empty all the time. Also the cups for coffee and tea are really small. It is a bit confusing that the place is called Senja by heart/Senja fjordcamp/Torsken brygge, so the first time we missed the sign to the reception.
Beautiful surrounding landscape and renovated and/or new buildings with a nice lounge area. Nice breakfast. The possibility to charge electric car is a plus. The place has potential to become an excellent choice for staying.
