Staff was incredible, breakfast was really good and my room was very tidy and comfy. I had an upgrade to a room with a view to the fiord, wich was awesome!

Excellent location with view of Geiranger Fjord. Walking distance to Queens Chair and Flydalsjuvet view point. Good breakfast. Quiet rooms, very comfortable bed and bedding. Sufficient parking at hotel.

Lovely older hotel overlooking Geiranger Fjord far in the distance. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a room with a view of the fjord, but ours was very nice of the rear garden. The hotel sits within feet of the road which is very busy with cars, motorcycles and tour buses, but that wasn't a problem. We slept well in the sumptuous beds. The bathroom was nice, though small. No elevator, and we were on the top floor. Though we didn't have a room with a direct view, there was a small covered balcony at the end of the hall that had a view. Direclty across the road was an observation deck as well. We had dinner and it was sumptuous. Very well prepared and served on fine linen and china. Breakfast was a feast of a buffet. Overall, this was an excellent hotel and it was actually quite nice to NOT be staying closer to the fjord where it was all crowded.

The rooms are very small, and it can get a bit noisy (from the upper floor). Despite the fantastic view, it would be nice to have a TV in the bedroom to help you wind down after a long day of activities outside.

The view from the hotel is fantastic. Breakfast is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location has a good distance to the center and close to hiking trails for super active visitors.

The menu was lovely but extremely limited so we had to eat out on the second night. There were no TVs in the rooms.

Location was great (away from the cruise ship tourists but near great viewpoints and the waterfall). Food was lovely, staff very helpful especially the chef who tried to cater for my son's dietary requirements.

Everything was great, perfect except for the beds softer than I expected. But then again, that's just me. I prefer a little bit harder.

Restaurant food is average and the menu is limited and does not change. Room needed some maintenance (blown light bulb and very loose toilet seat).

This is a old hotel and has old hotel room size and fittings..... They do feel ready for a refresh. Have said that the positives for me vastly overwhelm any downsides I mentioned.

The view alone makes this hotel one to visit, added to that the staff were absolutely brilliant. We ate in the resturant which was fantastic too. if you can manage to book a room with the view of the fjord then do so, it's worth the extra.

Bathroom was very small. Tour bus group happen to be there and they were very noisy at breakfast, ruined the atmosphere of the beautiful view and peace and quiet of the dining room.

The dining room is very tired and poorly lit, and very few options on the dinner menu. The room was very small - almost impossible to get in and out of the bathroom!

the breathtaking view of Geiranger port and waterfalls above and their breakfast was the best ; very helpful staff special shout out to Jenne the manager who was so nice to picked us up from the pier and drove us back during the absence of taxi service .
