Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaI have already spoke about this. But I wouldn't change a thing
It may seem a bit strange the feeling I kept about this location. It is a basic accommodation. It has a very old history (more than two centuries, if I remember well). Our room had 5 bunk beds. The place was not impecabilly clean. The weather was nasty. But, somehow, the whole picture gave me a very fresh impression... some memories of youth... a scent of good times long gone. There is plenty of free space. There is mountain, forest, lake and meadows. You can choose even a tent, if you want. It is a place where people can gather, feel closer one each other. Where rain means a movie wathced in an old style cinema hall. Where stories are tell and plans about the future are easier to see. Where two stil young pianos are somehow taking care of a third one, much too old to be able to sing. A place where I would like to come back. And an excellent base for Pulpit Rock ... it's a must see in a lifetime

We had one glamping tent and one room with private bathroom in the main building. Both were great. The room in the main building had comfortable beds. It also had heating in the room what was great to let dry our wet hiking boots. The hotel offered tea and coffee in the lobby all night long. The glamping tent was placed next to 2 other tents at the border of the fjord and a floating piece of wood. The tent was very spacious for 3a4 people. Hippy style, with beautiful lights and a dream catcher at the entrance. The tent could had a lock so everything was safe. The view was amazing. There was a sharing bathroom close to the tent which had also shampoo and bodywash. Towels were provided as well. The breakfast was nice. Good breads, cereals, yoghurts, meat and cheese. Pancakes as well and good but simple coffee. No coffee machines. We liked the way the chairs were hanging on the tables when not in use. There was also a movie room but we did not make use of it. Nice place for families with children. It has also a small play area outside.

LithuaniaSpacious location (inside and outside). Outside: large area for walking and just enjoying nature, with games rooms, football pitch, etc. Inside: simple but comfortable rooms, good wifi, access to kitchen, tea and biscuits 24/7 :) A good place to stay, whether you're staying on-site, exploring the area or hiking.

United KingdomArrived 45mins early but strict no check-in until 3pm. No fridge, coffee or TV in room. Quite far from anything like restaurants, supermarket etc.
Great views. Swimming spot for the lake beside them. Breakfast pretty good - they have a waffle machine. The room I got was comfortable - I did need to change because I originally booked a double bed with bunk room but got a single bed with bunk… and I wanted a double so they changed me even though the hostel was full I think which was good. Good kitchen cooking facilities. Wi-Fi was okay but I did have trouble downloading some stuff for work. Around 30mins drive to Prikestolen so not bad if you wanna do the hike. Big plus - they have a covered parking section for motorcycles! Which was a blessing because I had to reload it during Storm Hans 😅

ItalyThe hostel is in a magical place next to a lake, forest and mountains. The area around is so full of amazing places to see that we would have liked to stay longer! In this context, the hostel is the perfect place to stay for its warm atmosphere and wonderful staff. The staff are very helpful in giving advice to plan your hikes, which allowed us to have an even better time. Definitely recommended and we hope we will be back soon!
