We stayed in top floor (160 m2), therefore more than enough space for two persons. Fantastic view to lake, mountains and fjord! Personal was very kind and helpful! Very silent and peaceful place!

Nothing. But take note there is no elevator like many older hotels in Norway.

Cannot beat location and views (especially from the top suite) of Vikinghaug! It’s a stay to remember and an experience by itself. A historic building featured in Netflix’s show Rognarok. The staff is very friendly. Very clean. There is even a washer in our suite so we did some laundry. If you stay in Odda as a base for the Trolltunga hike, this location is an easy drive to it.

Wonderful stay - last minute booking. Arrived late but everything was ready so I can just lock myself in and go to bed. Much needed after a long drive. Excellent hospitality. Wonderful location with stunning view in all directions. Very spacious apartments with everything you need. Highly recommended.

There was nothing to not like.

The Viking House is situated in the most beautiful position looking over the fjord and the town of Odda. The penthouse is just breathtaking it would be perfect for a family vacation. we only spent the night there but would had loved to have stayed longer.

We had a little problem with the bathtub. The water was only luke-warm but that’s an easy fix.

The location and the views overall are amazing. The place is huge and provides enough space for everybody. The owners were also very very friendly!

Basic amenities were lacking. For instance, no shampoo, conditioner, etc. Also, no coffee. At first we thought this might just be customary, but all of our other Norwegian accommodations provided these basic items.

Location was stunning. Host was very kind and helpful. The outside area was amazing and the views are unparalleled. Overall, a great place.

The view from the cabin is awesome. It's located just above the fjord, and the views from the windows of both the kitchen and some rooms is extraordinary. I said to myself that if I had such views from the kitchen, I would have cleaned the dishes all day long. Also, we got a huge apartment, room for the kids, room for the parents, kitchen, toilets + bath + shower, dining room with a view, and a balcony.

the quality of the matras was not perfect and not really in line with the greatnesses of the rest of the appartement

Sadly despite its stunning location and beautiful exterior, the interior doesn't live up to expectations. The rooms are large and comfortable but furnishings were pretty standard (if not a little random - sofa in the bathroom? Odd metal and glass computer desk in the bedroom? etc)...none if it really matched.. The kitchen equipment/crockery were underwhelming though functional and noise reverberating through the wooden floors from above and stairs was an issue for us over the 3 days we stayed. In short, I couldn't help shake the nagging thought that whilst the outside looks and feels like a high-end hotel, sadly the interior feels more mid end hostel....shame as those views are really amazing!

Epic location, perched high in a hill between two fjords it has sweeping views of the water, mountains and waterfalls to the south and north over Odda and the fjord north. The wooden building itself is beautiful, large rooms, high ceilings and original features. With ample parking and comfortable garden/seating outside its a unique place.

Well it’s not so much of a dislike since the location is so beautiful but it is a bit of a walk if you need to access the bus station, groceries, and restaurants. there are buses that run in the day but often stop in the evening. just something to know if you are coming without a car!

The hosts were incredibly personal, thoughtful, and helpful. The location is beautiful, unmatched views of both Odda and the surrounding fjord. Incredibly great spot and spacious apartment.
