It’s definitely worth doing! A wonderful, charming hotel in an ancient building on the oldest square in the city. We asked for a specific room and it was kindly provided to us. Everything was exactly as in the photo and even a little better.

Durbar Side is a little gem in Bhaktapur. It is so centrally located to all the sites in Bhaktapur. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They showed us around Bhaktapur during the Bisket Jatra festival. The young workers made a lovely breakfast for us to have on the rooftop. The rooms are clean and comfy. We had a great time and would highly recommend Durbar Side to anyone visiting Bhaktapur.

Rooms are clean but could have been bigger. Every thing else is nice.

Location is very near to the Durbar Square which was very nice. Room were simple and clean . We had a really nice time here. Bhaktapur is a must go to place to all the travelers.

Although the breakfast was delicious, we couldn't choose: bara, toast with butter and jam.

The manager let us in the room with late checkout (we paid for a half day extra) because our flight was very late evening. Thank you!

The hotel is perfectly located just outside the main square, the rooms are nice & clean - great value for what you pay. The staff is really sweet and shout out to the owner Sulav who was an amazing host and a lovely person, he made sure me and my girlfriend arrived safely at our next destination and he even picked me up as I wanted to come back to Bhaktapur for the festival. If you’re looking for a solid stay in Bhaktapur - this is it 👍

i reached the hotel very late . Around 1 am at night. But still there were staff to welcome me . The hotel staff " Rohan " was very kind and helpful. They offered me dinner at night which was so generous of them ... Felt like a family in short period . Hotel is very near to Durbar square( Major attraction). A must go to place to all travellers.

We loved the hotel, right inside the durbar square in bhaktapur. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. You have everything you need: clean bathroom, hot shower, thick blanket and we even got a balcony. They also have a rooftop with an amazing where they serve a delicious homemade breakfast. The staff made it even better and made sure we were taken care of at all times. They were very very nice. From the very beginning we knew that we would have an amazing stay, the owner picked us up and and gave us tips for our stay in bhaktapur. At the end of our stay, he offered to drive us to thamel for a very fair price, as it was raining. Definitely if you come to bhaktapur I wouldn't choose another stay that wasn't Hotel Durbar Side. Thank you for everything :)

There are lots of steep steps which were fine for me, but may be a challenge for those who are less mobile.

The location was unbeatable, right beside Durbar square. There were lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. The location was peaceful and staff were very helpful. The breakfast was the tastiest I had in the whole of my two weeks in Nepal. I loved the bara and freshly made pancake - the coffee was also great. It took a little time to get breakfast, but it was worth it to have it made fresh to order. The room was large and clean with views out on to the street whilst still being quiet. A transfer to the airport was organised for me. Nothing was too much trouble. Bhaktapur was my favourite place to visit in Nepal - it was a great base to see other nearby villages and cultural sights and felt very authentic. I was glad I picked it as a base for three nights. The hotel was new and there was plenty of hot water.

Nothing . Every thing was just in right amount.

every thing was nice . The minimalistic approach of the hotel was my main attraction. No showoff , just pure comfort. Love the attentive staff. The owner helped me a lot. It was just like family experience. Normally we do not find these kind of attentiveness and family feeling in other hotel. A must go place for all the tourist coming to Bhaktapur.

I wish I could give it more than 10/10 :) Really I enjoyed my stay. It is such a cozy hotel very near to Durbar Square. Super clean, comfortable beds, good WiFi. Yet, the best thing is how welcoming and supportive the staff are. Everyone was so nice and helpful. 100% would stay here again. Thank you 🙏

Actually nothing... It was cold outside so also the room was little bit cold. But the airco on heat made it perfect again.

The room is very big and I had actually my first hot shower since a while being in Nepal. The staff is so friendly and would try to do everything to make you comfortable. After a long hike they even brought me delicious food I had never tasted before so that I could try it. Don't hesitate stay a couple of nights in Bhaktapur. Beautiful place and a nice hotel.

Boring breakfast.Also my room wasn't that quiet, it was on the street so you could hear cars passing and honking. It wasn't much but enough that I had to wear earplugs

The Hotel was very near to the Durbar area. The ambience was very nice . We enjoyed the owners hospitality. The staff were very friendly. The owner also helped us by sending taxi to the airport during midnight. As we were very late when we arrived at the airport. Rooms were very clean. I suggest everyone to have at least one day of stay in this hotel when visiting Bhaktapur. Lovely Place.

It would be nice if they have a heater in the room (some of them have it but not all). But it is an opinion not complaining.
