Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NepalThis bamboo built eco-friendly property blends in perfectly with the natural surrounding. Most corners will offer you a breathtaking view of the Rapti river. An open shower between leaves amused me the most. Easy location, great friendly host :)

AustraliaThe mosquitos were a nightmare! After 6pm we had to leave the property because we got destroyed with bites.
Food was the best in Nepal. Great views of the national park. Friendly staff. Ethical tour - 1 day jeep booked via lodge was brilliant! Fantastic tour guide

PolandThis is an enjoyable place to stay. First of all it is just on the riverside, with a bar and tables facing the river (sunsets and morning fogs over the river are enough to choose this place). Second, it is built of bamboo and with thatched roofs. Third, it is very clean and well maintained (and the shower and toilet are far above what you would expect from a bamboo hut). All together it creates an exceptional place, with a positive vibe and fun atmosphere. It's also a short walking distance from the main street.

United KingdomI wished there was a ‘non-smoking’ terrace so when I wanted to eat or relax without smoke that was a protected option. I would also have liked some more reclining beds on the terrace as they were the premium spot every day!
Loved the location and the staff here were great, attentive and kind. Also some of the best food in Sahara from their restaurant. The hut I was given wasn’t the one on the booking form so be aware that may be the case for you if you book. Never the less I was happy with the hut I had (though not a full river view) and very greatful for the mosquito net (many hotels didn’t have one!

JapanNot that I didn't like it but since it's a bamboo lodge, everybody will hear you talk and you'll be heard. Beware of that.
The location was great. The river view was fantastic both in the morning and in the evening. The bedroom has a pretty mosquito net. Their foods and drinks are good. The host arranged a customized tour for me and booked a bus to KTM on short notice. The jungle walk and canoeing was especially memorable experience. The two guides, Ganesh and Baliram, were very knowledgeable and professional. They took care of my safety in the jungle and showed me many animals. I never forget the large flock of deers running in front of my eyes and the bathing rhinos.

Switzerland-
We spent three wonderful days in the Happy Lemon Tree lodge. The lodge is near the Chitwan National Park and we did a walking safari which was organized through the hostel - we totally recommend to do this! It was just awesome. Everything was really nice: the room was clean, the food delicious and the staff was so friendly and helpful! Hopefully, we will visit again and we totally recommend the accommodation to everyone. :-)

ArgentinaThe place is amazing, though basic the rooms are very cute with incredible views of the river and the national park. Super relaxing and lovely, away from the main street but very close to it. The beds have mosquito nets. And the staff is amazing, they went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. We hired a boat+trekking tour of the national park which was fantastic, the guides were very knowledgeable and we got to see lots of animals, including four rhinos.

NetherlandsNothing!
I spend three nights in Happy Lemon Tree Lodge and loved every minute of it. The view is amazing! When I arrived, I already saw the first wildlife. The bamboo lodge really gives you a jungle kinda vibe, which totally fits with the great atmosphere incl. some good music playing in the background while enjoying a lovely drink watching the beautiful sunsets. And later at the supercozy bonfires where it is also easy to meet other travellers. Also, the staff is superfriendly and helpful. The owner takes time to chat with you and explain more about the environment or the animals. I did two fun tours with a very passionate guide who learned me a lot of new things. Really cool! Also enjoyed the food and drinks! Overall I would highly recommend this place :)

New ZealandSometimes a little loud at night from across the street, and dogs barking, but that’s expected in Nepal and when you’re staying in a traditional style hut! :)
We ended up staying a week. Super vibey spot with lots of wildlife that you can see across the river, and a bar and kitchen that’s open all day. The owner Dharmik and his staff are relaxed, helpful and friendly. The tour guides are excellent especially Ganesh who took us on both the jungle walk, jeep safari, canoe trip and religious tour. The kitchen here is also excellent - we had EVERY meal here during the week we stayed because it was so good! Our room had comfortable firm bed. Hot water is pretty good but runs out sometimes. Feels really nice as only a small number of places to stay so you can get to know other guests and the staff well. Just an amazing spot and would highly recommend, miss it already!

BahrainI liked everything, really. The walls of the huts are thin - as mentioned by other reviewers - so you can hear everyone else. That didn't bother me, though, as the other guests were mindful of the situation. The bed was also a little hard (but that is down to personal taste) and a small table in the room would be a welcome addition. The room was very small - fine for me but maybe a bit too cosy for two people.. I would definitely stay here again.
I booked for one night as a base for a walking safari and booked in again at the end of my days of walking. The location is absolutely perfect with a sense of peace and glorious river views and just a five minute walk from the town centre. There was plenty of birdlife, a huge basking gharial crocodile on the other side of the river when I arrived and even a sleeping rhino in the bushes near the entrance to the camp on my last day there! What I liked most was the care for the environment with no single-use plastic. There are metal straws with the cocktails, and the packed lunches are in insulated lunch boxes with proper metal cutlery. For 25 rupees, you can refill your water bottle with filtered water (hot or cold) as many times as you like. The outdoor shower was hot and spacious. The vegan breakfast was excellent. I organised a multi-day jungle walk through this lodge, and it was probably the best safari I have ever done (I have done dozens). I had two brilliant guides to myself who had sharp eyesight, were careful and safe, respected the environment, and had vast amounts of knowledge and passion. They genuinely loved what they were doing! I learned about so many new birds, saw my first bear, heard a tiger roar, and had to run from rhinos! It was spectacular - and the best value for money.

AustraliaEverything was pretty good, just some nails on the floor of the room were a little uncomfortable, and it could be cleaner (remove cobwebs in the bathrooms) and add more things to hang clothes or towels inside the bathroom and rooms
The design of the rooms is simple and different, creating an atmosphere of peace with a beautiful view of the river

FrancePrices shown on the blackboard are not the actual prices. So I had to pay more than 150 rpr more for just a drink and didn’t expect that. Washrooms were not very convenient (many openings, not very discreet) and the electrical outlet in the room was not working well. For the price, it shouldn’t be the case.
Best place to stay near the river in Sauraha. Very atypical and nice staff : they helped me get my bus ticket to KTM.

GermanyOnly one thing that we have to mention. The rooms were very simple which is really fine for us. But there is only the bed inside the room. No possibility to leave our things or no possibility to hang the towels or our jackets. So we had to leave everything on the ground.
We had a lovely stay at the Happy Lemon Tree Lodge. This lodge has a nice view to the river where we spotted a rhino in the morning. The lodge arranged the Safaris for us. We had a great guide and big lunch boxes with us. The food in the lodge is so good and we also loved the smoothies. The Manager and the staff are very friendly. I would recommend this lodge
