The room and facilities were excellent, we were made to feel very welcome by all of the staff who made every effort to make us feel at home in the hotel. We had a lovely breakfast while there, plenty of choice and of good quality.

We liked the look and the situation of the hotel and that it is very quiet. Also the personal was very friendly. Food was great. Unfortunately we couldn’t stay the other night because of transport problems on our way back from our trek.

Everything was great, except it's difficult to tell what exact room you're getting when you book the reservation. We got a courtyard-facing room during our first stay, which was nice. We returned a few weeks later and received an even nicer room, facing the courtyard. Both room pictures were under the same booking so perhaps there's a way to reach out directly to confirm the room type you're getting.

We had a fantastic stay at Kantipur Temple House. The building is gorgeous — built to modern standards but with designed thoughtfully with traditional architecture in mind. The staff were impeccably attentive and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. You can tell a lot of thought has been put into the overall design and service. Also, minutes walking distance from Thamel yet peaceful and removed from the loud noise of the city. We also met the owner who sat and spoke with us for a while, telling us about the history of the building. It was overall a really pleasant stay.

No AC or heating for the sake of ecology seemed a bit disingenuous. The garden and beautiful grounds were not set up for guest enjoyment, only a couple of tables outside that were not particularly enticing. Price was a bit stiff for the comfort provided.

Beautiful hotel in a very convenient location. Staff was wonderful, always gracious and helpful. Breakfast was very good and generous. The rooms were very large and the view on the interior courtyard beautiful.

Very helpful staff, they can organise nearly everything and can give excellent advices. A very quiet place in the middle of a bustling city . Rooms are very spacious, every day with refill fresh water. Morning yoga class for free , also a free walking tour . Good breakfast and a relaxing garden for an evening drink .

Location is in the centre . In the morning a free walking tour , which is good for orientation. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Also every morning free yoga class with a great teacher. But the best is the amazing staff ! Super friendly, super helpful, there is nothing , what they can not organise . At the end of the day it's just good to relax in the garden by a nice drink .

This is a very traditional hotel without many modern equipments. We love its genuine traditional style but if you are looking for modern convenience, it may not offer that.

Very traditional architecture design with decorations full of cultural meanings. The room is very clean and spacious. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. They helped us arranged airport pick up and send-off. The location is right in the middle of the busy marketplace with many restaurants and shops around. 15 mins walk to the Dunbar. The hotel offers a free guided walking tour to visit nearby temples and experience the local life. Breakfast is pretty good with many varieties. The staffs are super friendly and they made special pancakes for our children. The restaurant offer traditional nepalese foods as well as western food.

There was some renovation happening when we were at the hotel. So the morning works and the fact that we couldn’t enjoy the outside so much was a disappointment .

It was a little cold (we stayed in March), but the beds were equipped with electric blankets which were awesome.

The place has great charm, the staff is lovely, we were even able to have a yoga lesson in the morning, included in the price!

I didn't like: The shower didn't work all the time, and the toilet inside looked very. dirty, they have cleaned it every day, but it still looked dirty.

I liked a lot: Hotel is a very nice building, situated very well in center, the very kind staff and mostly the warming bottles in the bed. I liked a lot the food, they have in their restaurant. As I got thick, the staff brought me medikaments and the, this was really very kind and I preciate this a lot. Thank you for that.

This place is heaven on earth. The location is so dreamy and absolutely beautiful! It’s become my go to place to stay in Katmandu. The staff are so friendly I was ill and they brought me tea and medicine and took care of me - thank you so much because as a solo traveler and a woman I felt so so comfortable

The bathroom was a little tired but everything worked so no real complaints.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, a great choice and delicious local tastes. Room was huge and very pretty. It was cold (in January) but we had a heater plus hot water bottles appeared every night. I would definitely stay there again.

Kantipur Temple House is amazing authentic hotel, very centrally located in Kathmandu. The building is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable. But we do want to highlight the amazing service the staff provides - they were extremely accommodating to all our asks. Every evening the room was heated and prepared for the night - electric blankets, heater, water bottles, really makes you feel cozy. Beyond that, we were able to leave our bags at the hotel, while going for a trek in Pokhara. Our flight was delayed so the staff at the hotel helped us transport the bags to the airport before our next flight to Delhi. Extremely responsive and helpful! We also had very good meals at the hotel. Definitely recommend it!

We were on 3rd floor . For us its ok but there r people for whom climbing stairs is a challenge. I would recommend them to have an elevator.

The rooms are atmospheric, attention to detail and to cleanliness but most of all the staff are so helpful and thoughtful. We had a very early departure one morning and they provided a made up breakfast boxed up and it was just what we needed on a long haul bus trip. Thanks to everyone at Kantipur Temple House
