Tastefully designed property. We were travelling with an infant and the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Had a very pleasant stay thanks to them. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay at the heart of Kathmandu.

The could be a bit more light in the room, as the soft light creates a good ambience but might make it difficult to pack during darker hours. Would be amazing if they had a swimming pool for the price charged as similar hotels charge the same but have a swimming pool.

The hotel is stunning, and we loved that our room was facing the internal garden. We felt welcomed by the staff and everyone was very kind and did all they could to accomodate us. They even opened the breakfast area earlier for us as we had to leave the hotel before their breakfast opening time. The bed was very comfortable as well and the room overall was beautiful, comfortable and clean. The location is also excellent, in the heart of Tamil. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Kathmandu!

Kantipur is built in the traditional design of a temple. Many traditional craftspeople were commissioned in its construction and you will find beauty and serenity here wherever you look. The design means it is naturally cool and is an oasis of calm in busy Kathmandu. The staff looked after us exceptionally well.

Could have had a few more lawn chairs and tables in the garden areas. With the number of guests in the hotel, they weren't always available

Staff was very helpful. They changed one of our rooms to allow extra seating since we had two families traveling together and needed more seating. Food was very good. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of food. The hotel was a fairly new construction, but designed and built fit and match the historical architecture of the area. Each room is unique. Interior rooms overlooking courtyard are quiet.

The architecture is beautiful. I definitely recommend upgrading a bit to get a room that faces the inner courtyard. In addition, the staff was extremely helpful and kind. My husband and I checked out at noon but our flight wasn’t until after midnight; the staff provided us with access to a small room to relax and freshen up in the afternoon, which was unexpected and very appreciated.

Bathrooms need some renovation asap

The hotel is located in a silent street, in the busiest area of the city. And its architecture is amazing.

The ambience of the entire property was exceptional, we all really felt like we were visiting a traditional temple guest house. The Heritage Walk offered by the property was very enlightening, and may have been the highlight of our trip - strongly recommended! The food, service, and hospitality shown us was all far above what was expected; the entire staff treated us courteously. and made sure that all our needs were met. If we ever come back to this part of the world, we will definitely return to this gem!

It's a little dark just because of the design, but that isn't a problem if you consider what the owner was trying to achieve .

The breakfast was beautifully served . The milk tea was excellent. The reason this place worked for me was some outside green space. A little tranquility in a city to read. Also opposite hotel a very good place for a foot rub!

Pigeon droppings were coming in through the bathroom window, which felt a little unclean.

The quiet, quaint building and rooms and the excellent hospitality of the staff made me feel truly at peace. The stay at the hotel itself was one of the best experiences of the trip.

I like that they were all for conserving energy but there should have been packaged drinking water options. The rooms were too dark.

The hotel was beautiful, it had a certain old world vibe to it. Very well connected to Thames region yet separate from the noisy streets. The staff was very courteous and friendly and helpful.
