Central location to the stupa . The room was delightful with a full shower stall and a little balcony . It has a nice quiet and restful lobby where the food is delicious . The host Nicky and Sonam went out of their way to be hospitable and welcoming . Sonam went above the call of duty when I thought I had lost my Sun hat, checking the security to see if I had left wearing it . Nicky hired both a taxi driver and a guide , both who were stellar - kind , informative and respectful. Highly recommend staying here !

Not too sound proof windows , can hear barking from dogs from across opposite units on first night, most nights place is very nice and quiet.

Very good location ,walking distance to Buddha Stupa. Very good friendly staff. Coffee at breakfast is great . Simple but nice spread for breakfast , great to start the day.

Nice hotel located close to the Bouddhanath stupa. Stayed at this hotel twice. Run by a lovely Sherpa family. Highly recommended, very clean room, lovely hot shower. Thank you again Pema Hotel, we'll come back!

I hope to have more single-bed rooms rather than twin beds

Pema is a heart warming hotel which surprisingly provide a mouthful breakfast every morning. The hot water system is so good, which is essential during winter time.

Very friendly staff, the rooms are clean and the food and coffee is also very delicious. We could leave some stuff in the hotel as we went for other trips. They make even laundry (including cleaning of hiking shoes). This accommodation is a good value for the money.

There was nothing I disliked about Atisha Hotel.

I booked Pema Boutique but I was re-directed to stay at the Atisha Hotel next door. Therefore this review is about Atisha Hotel. The hotel was new and super modern. The room was large with a balcony, large bathroom with hot shower, bidet and toilet. The hotel is located near Boudha stupa and many stores. Pema hotel next door had a restaurant which served great Nepalese and Indian food.

Everything was very good.

Peña hotel is a short walk to Boudha stupa and close to all the attractions. It is very comfortable and good value with excellent staff. Hot water available all day and a good restaurant on site.

They made us pay 4% more for using credit card, no other hotel asked for that, although we went in several hotels all over Nepal.

The balcony, the bathroom (hot shower), fridge to keep milk and yogourt. Location not far away from the Boudhanath stupa, from Shechen monastery, White Gompa etc. Good buffet breakfast.

Location was great, just a few minutes walk to the stupa. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Great starting point before or after your trekking or visiting other parts of Nepal. Loved the value for money, it had all I needed.

At times, our bathroom smelled badly from sewage. I would have appreciated it if the top floor, which was great for morning yoga, had been a bit cleaner.

We enjoyed the room with comfortable beds and the very good and reasonable food in the hotel's restaurant. The service in general and Pema's location at the short distance from the Boudhanath stupa makes Pema Boutique Hotel a good choice.

Food beyond breakfast was spotty as the kitchen closed early, even though it is supposed to be open till 8pm. Maybe a holiday? If so they should have let us know. Some of the food wasn't very good. I don't think that there is an actual restaurant there.
