The staff were amazing, very friendly and efficient. The location was an oasis of character and calm in a hectic city. The restaurant food was lovely and the buffet breakfast was varied for all tastes. The pool and garden area was very restful.

fitness area isn't really a gym or fitness area (3 cardio machines only) Was quite quiet at the time so felt a little empty in the hotel - as a result you always felt you were kind of being watched as there didn't appear much for the staff to do... and there was lots of staff Unfortunately the room was a lot smaller than expected compared to the pictures of the room type booked on booking.com

hotel needs a lot of tender love and care. it s a bit run down. although beds are very confi as well the have a lot of weddings and they are loud ( some more than others) . the good thing is they normaly finish by 10.30 pm

very nice vintage hotel rooms are big bathrooms are very clean. hotel garden and pool superbed. the staff very very helpfull and friendly breakfast plentiful and varyed we ate dinners at the restaurant and food was fresh and really tasty

Unfortunately, the hotel is undergoing room renovations and you could hear and smell the trades people throughout the day. The room had a number of things needing attention, such as a leaking basin in the bathroom and a hole in the wall near the bed.

The customer service was exceptional. The daily service to the room was very much welcomed. The food and delivery to the room was also very good.

Room and bathroom might be a little bigger in size. Size does not matter me when I have a good sleep.

I was very pleased with the room, and the facilities of the hotel. It's location is quiet and an oasis of silence. 10 minutes walk from Thamel. Good and hearty breakfast. Will keep coming back.

There was a wedding on almost every night which was nice to watch but also made it uncomfortable to use the pool area because it adjoined the wedding area - you had to walk through the wedding to access the pool. It was also quite a walk away from Durbar Square (a taxi ride necessary) and the taxis out front overcharged - not the fault of the hotel - walk to the street and you will pay half as much for a taxi

Staff could be more welcoming, specially in the restaurant!! it would be better if the breakfast supervisor could have little smile on his face while welcoming the guests!! observed down in mood during my all 4 days stay.

I found it a tad pricey and not really value for my money. Breakfast was lacklustre and not much different from one day to the next. Location is not here nor there, but close enough for a walk to Thamel, and close to the higher class shopping district eg. Durbar Mall area, but all requires 15 to 20 mins walk. My room 711 faced rooftops and construction, but yes, there is construction everywhere.

It is quiet as it is away from the main road, a good respite from the noise and dust. Nice garden too, but tad smaller than what I envisioned. Hot water and air-conditioning worked great. Bed was very comfortable

This time I stayed here after seven years. This is an old palace that was turned into a hotel. They did some amazing renovation work. The hotel is located in the central Kathmandu, however, away from the noise and traffic. Excellent location.

Nothing really. Just a small point. We were given a fairly small room in comparison to previous visits. The king size bed didn’t leave a lot of floor space; a queen size bed would have been more suitable.

Usually stay here when we visit Kathmandu. Quiet, relaxing place with very good amenities.
