The staff here is absolutely amazing. They were loving towards our girls, were willing to help with any need. They offered us the best prices for any wilderness attractions, and really made our stay feel like a family.

Viki's brothers could learn a little bit more English, so they could communicate better with guests. Yes, it's not that a big deal either. They all manage.

It was one of the best hostels I had been in, just the family and Viki was so nice. I feel like at home, the food was delicious very comforting food. The location for me it's perfect, 20 min from the center so its quiet and peaceful place. You can meet nice people that also look for these peaceful places. I was really happy with my stay in Tara Guesthouse! Vicky (the owner) is an amazing guy who is always ready to help you, to give you more info or just to have a nice talk with. The place is perfect for a walk to the center, to take a look at the river, to have a nice view of the nature... The room has everything you need. Highly recommended!

It is a bit far from the tourist bus station, but still walkable distance (about 30min, and there were taxis waiting if needed) Didn’t get any hot water for 3 days 🥲

The room was nice and big. Vicky and his family were really super nice and made my stay feel very special, thanks so much! I really enjoyed the village tour that Vicky took me to on the day of my arrival, it was very interesting. They can help you book your tours, bus tickets, you can rent a bike there and they can prepare a really good packed lunch to bring with you on your tours. Overall really a great experience 😊

WiFi signal in room 8 is poor signal but otherwise great.

Location is ideal. Close to town and safari activities but off the main strip so less traffic and noise. Room was spacious and comfortable and the staff were awesome.

My friend and I had such a wonderful time at Tara’s Guest house. As everyone has already said it, it is a wonderful family in which everyone goes out of their way to help and support you. They are always smiling! From the didi who made our rooms, to aunty who took us around the village on our first day, to Vicky who is always there to help you with any kind of bookings, we are grateful for their warmth and hospitality! :)

Such wonderful, warm-hearted and generous hosts. I booked for one day and stayed for nine! I found plenty to do in Sauraha outside the park, that’s why I extended my stay. I ate delicious home-cooked food and was made sincerely welcome. Tara guest house is in a peaceful location, slightly off the main drag. It’s just a few steps across the road to the river, which is a lovely place to hang out and watch birds. My room was clean and simple with hot water. I was also greeted at the bus station after a long journey from KMD and dropped at the station when I left. Thanks for everything, I had a really memorable stay :)

Tara guesthouse is great value for money in a perfect location for visiting Chitwan National Park. Vicky was an amazing host - he picked me up from the bus station and took a group of us on a guided walk around the village. He also helped organise an incredible walking safari (a must do if you visit Chitwan!) and recommended other things to do/see nearby. Rooms are also v clean and comfortable. Thank you Vicky and family for a lovely stay!

Absolutely wonderful family. Fantastic sized rooms. They really go out of their way to do anything and everything for you. We did the walking/canoing safari and had such a good time. We saw a plethora of wildlife! The location is great too. I was a solo traveller but never felt lonely once!

Large, clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Affordable rates. Great location. Lovely family atmosphere. Wicky is an amazing person to know. He cares so much about the environment, world, animals, culture, ethical tourism and it was kısmet that İ chose his hotel. The restaurant on site was convenient. There are a few small markets nearby and it takes less than 15 minutes to walk into town. There are also bicycles to use and many tuktuk drivers to hitch a ride with. The brilliant part of being outside of the city is the access to nature. My first day I saw 2 rhinos. One sleeping on the riverbank and one directly across from the hotel. The locals will excitedly tell you what's around and walk with you so you can safely see it. Near the hotel are many places to watch over the riverbanks and the small village life around makes it a perfect place to be in Chitwan.

The hotel is located quite outside of the centre, but for us it was totally fine cause both days we were so tired and we slept early :)

As soon as we arrived we received a lovely welcome from Viky (apology if I misspell) the owner, ready to pick us up with a Tuc tuc! Then we went for a lovely nature walk with him, he knows so much stuff! Delicious dinner freshly made at the hotel. Viky organised for us a beautiful jungle day, canoa, jungle walk and jeep safari, guided by two lovely guys, we loved Sajok (again sorry for any misspell) and ending with a Taru cultural dance. Definitely recommend to book any activity in the hotel!

Everything perfect!

Nice place in a quiet area short walking distance to the main road. The food is delicious and everything is made fresh at the moment. The staff is lovely and a special thank to the owner, a young guy, helpful, respectful and the love he got for what he is doing is fantastic. I suggest to do the tours with him because is cheap compared to the other ones and it is worth it. Avoid the big resort and chose local home stay to help them with their project. Bikki number one ☝️
