Room was upgraded which was good. clean, well serviced daily and had a nice living room area in the Mayfair suite. Even the occasional tram sounds was not disturbing. I hadn’t actually realised there would be tram sounds/vibrations so was initially surprised but it was it wasn’t terribly intrusive and stopped at a reasonable time. Good heating and insulation, especially important as it was quite cold outside when I was there. Comfortable big bed.

Family room was smaller than expected for the price. The full sized fridge in addition to the little bar fridge seems excess in the Mayfair room. Would rather have a microwave or little kitchenette instead if there was a choice for that.

Suitable for our short trip with good location. One of the two rooms in our booking was upgraded that was very nice I had booked the family room for the themed kids decor that didn’t disappoint. My daughter was very happy with the little surprise.

Noisy aircon

Great location in the centre of Christchurch.

Shower curtain wasn't quite fitting with the rest of the facility, my colleagues all had glass doors. TV was in a weird place for the bed. Looked like the bathroom door had some water damage at the bottom.

Bathroom was a good size, although a weird shape. Pillows weren't too large or too firm. Room was nice and warm even though it was very cold outside. Location was great to get to inner city work - and close to lots of restaurants.

Heater in the bathroom was broken which was quite cold.

I received a surprise upgrade from a standard room to a King's room. View was great overlooking the conference center and Christchurch cathedral. The location is very nice and central at the back of Regent street and where the Tram starts.

The tv was inadequate as the lower part of the screen was missing and also Sky Sport was not provided.

We were very warmly welcomed by the young lady on duty and also farewelled by her.

That the blockout curtains didnt sit flush against the wall… the outside lights shone thru the side. I am a very light sleeper, and like the room very dark.

I originally booked adjoining rooms with king beds. The hotel contacted me and asked if, because I had a child, I wanted to do a double bed and loft bed for my son. They said they would decorate to fit his style. I should have stuck with my original plan. The room was decorated a bit too young for my almost 11 year old. If your child is 9 or younger, that room is great. My almost 11 year old was very upset when he walked in.

Locations was great, right in the CBD. Tram going through was fun and convenient. Hotel staff were lovely.

It was right next to the tramway so you can always hear the sound of the tram.

Great location in downtown Christchurch. We booked the connecting room with kids' decorations. Staff were very thoughtful and asked us in advance of our preference and decorated the room beautifully for our daughter.
