How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The second floor where the master bedroom is has no air conditioning. If sun has been out during the day, it gets really hot at night. There’s only a heat pump in the first floor foyer where the staircase is. The cold air does NOT reach second floor. I think the owner knows this so there’s a fan in the room (but it only helps a little bit). We were blessed with great sunny weather for a few days during our stay but that also meant for those nights it was very hard to get to sleep as it was just so hot. It also depends on the night of the week you are staying . There was one night where I could hear parties and noises nearby. There were yelling and singing until 2am. Luckily it was just one night.
It has everything you need. Two bathroom is an added convenience. The dartboard was a nice touch! Nice location. Walking distance to a few nice breakfast place and just cross the road from a foodcourt.

Stayed for 6 nights and we loved how clean and comfortable this two bedroom apartment was. There was everything we needed, including handwash, cleaning items, shampoo etc. Plenty of extras in the kitchen area with tea, coffee, sugar etc and there was milk in the fridge. The location was just great and had so much in walking distance and as we didn't have a car this was a must and didn't disappoint. We did have trouble with the internet for the first 2 days but the hosts were great and replaced the router/modem and there were no problems after that. The stairs to the bedrooms were carpeted and my 84 year old Mum having only had a hip replaced 3 months prior, still managed okay with the bedroom on the second floor. We were not bothered by any noise at night and found the unit very quiet even though it is in a vibrant area.

The only issue was the parking. But we had no problems working around this and found that it was quite easy and safe to park vehicle out on the street.
Loves the location was within the CBD and Riverside markets. Also plenty of eating establishments in the immediate vicinity. The unit itself was very clean and tidy and very well thought out, providing all the things that you could possibly want. The hosts were very easy to communicate with . Would highly recommend and stay there again.

I didn't like the loud noises from the adjacent pub on Fri and Sat nights that went on till 2am in morning. Also the sound proofing is poor- can hear road noises as well as adjacent neighbours arriving at property in late hours of night
I liked the close proximity to many excellent eateries and bakeries, as well as supermarkets. The place was comfortable, facilities provided were great and adequate for preparing meals.

It is split over 3 levels so just be warned if you need to bring heavy suitcases to the top level bedroom. There are 2 bathrooms but one was locked/shut when we arrived. The smaller bedroom could do with a mirror but once we had the bathroom unlocked then that was ok since it was next door.
The location is great if you have work in the central city area. The apartment itself was easy to locate, access and was very clean and neat. It is split over 3 levels so just be warned if you need to bring heavy suitcases to the top level bedroom. There are 2 bathrooms. The beds are very comfy.

I would have liked an electric blanket on the bed but the aircon was sufficient enough
We have everything we needed from this accommodation including a bidet. The house was warm with two aircons. It is walking distance to the supermarket and the city center. Easy to get around by walking. I would definitely booked it if I visit Christchurch again

The blind cord came out of the blind - sorry we think it might have been happened earlier and just placed loosely back inside.
