How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

One thing we noticed and believed happened was the bedding. I believed someone used it before us, and your workers didn't change. I smell aftershave on the pillows, but I don't wear them aftershave. That was the only downfall of our stay.
We liked everything, the place was clean and warm. It was also quiet

Although the room was nice and clean, it was dated and needs a very good freshen up, a lot of stains on the carpets, walls and blankets. a fresh paint job would be good. other than that, it was a very comfy stay.
Check in was smooth and staff were friendly and attentive. Room was clean and comfortable and is helpful to have the onsite restaurant. For a very early morning flight it was so good to have the Go Yellow bus right outside for an easy pick for the airport.

We had dinner that wasn't very fulfilling, as my meal was still cold and a microwave provided the heat which made my meal rubbery. My husband had the lamb shank which was not slow cooked as the meat was very tough. The dessert was great though. Apple pie with ice cream. Cheesecake with ice cream. Our room was delightful but found food under the bed, the toilet seat was broken and the showers temperature kept changing whilst having a shower. We also could not open the sliding door for fresh air as I am not one to use a air con. Overall. 7/10 is suitable for this motel
The location was very handy to the airport. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Scrambled eggs on toast. Would love to know how they made their eggs. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

A little worn and showing age. But met our needs.
Chosen due to airport shuttle, and hotel was certainly adequate. Staff helpful, to the point of including a packed breakfast for early morning flight. Few eating places in walking distance, but restaurant was certainly okay.

Tv was broken or wasn't far from blowing up. No tea towels to dry dishes with.
Nice big whanau room for everyone to sit and get together to spend that last bit of time with each other before whanau left the country.

Close to airport and free bus there and back. Carpark free for 5 days then $5 there after a bonus.

The noise /conversations from next room guests was plainly audible lasting long into the night and sounded very much like a sexual orgy from the female with lots of moaning unless it was a special needs person that couldn’t keep quiet.
Very friendly service from Sangareeta who helped me carry my luggage to my room and gave me a discounted drink at the dining room.NZ lamb chops were some of the best I have tasted.

Rooms are looking old and our shower was blocked so 2nd person in shower was quick. I told staff at check out. Rooms need some attention to get value for money. Other problem was we were charged twice on credit card plus $5 more than original price. It took 3 emails with attached bank statement, 1 phone call to hotel and then after 10 days 1 payment was refunded. Email said it was system glich, but whole process not handled well and spoilt the stay.
Beds very comfy with nice linen and yellow bus service is good for the location.

When I arrived the hotel at 1:30 pm, they were still cleaning and setting up room. I waited until 2:15 pm still wasn’t available. So they set up me to change another room so it’s all good.
There is a welcome drink :) the location where near the airport is very convenience. Free bus are available from 2 or 3 am. And room was good.

Our room ran out of body wash and shampoo, which was inconvenient. The mattress had a dip in the middle but didn't affect our sleep too much. The driveway is in a pretty bad state and would benefit from an investment for an upgrade.
It was close to SH 20 and the airport as well local shopping centres.the room was comfortable and had a comfortable bed also. The venue also had a shuttle, which is handy if you need that.

Location. Back door was dodge. Didnt feel like a secure location as it was a little run down. Curtain and door needs fixing. Paint outside and clean outside area. Litter in carpark area. Front good. Back area needs TLC.
