Tagging in the bathrooms , permanent residence constantly watching your every move , there was just an unsettling vibe this time . I really enjoyed my previous stays but not this time

Did NOT like that I requested an apartment for 3 adults in a quieter area ....arrived and it had been changed to a crumby motel room ,right next to communal lounge ....not even any offer of money back for cheaper room . Bathroom wall mouldy Smoke detector not in place !. Whole place run down and grotty Not worth 197 per night could get a 5 star motel for not much more !

Location good . Liked that when I told them family had covid they allowed me to reschedule my dates.

Fir $115.00 this was shocking. 2 Single beds in a very confined space. No outdoor seating at all. Shared kitchen which had no working stove elements. The chairs in the room were extremely uncomfortable. The shared toilets were not nice as the cubicles were so small you could barely move and the basins were literally glued together. Toilet seat had a huge crack down the base. Showers were limited to 5 mins.

It was the only place available and close to where we needed to go. No vax pass required.

For the cost of 2 nights stay the place is uncared for. The pictures on display are very misleading - the playground is over grown and moss covered and the BBQ Table pictured has collapsed and is laying on the ground. Rubbish and broken things just lying around outside with some exposed wires situated right next to the child's playground. I got the distinct impression that people actually LIVED here and with the couple next to us yelling when they spoke and banging in and out their room until the early morning and their smoking was constantly wafting through our windows - even though it was supposed to be non smoking. WIFI: I purchased 2 x $5 tokens (wifi) and the connection was terrible. It kept dropping on me while on a zoom call and I barely got the full use. I wouldn't recommend that you buy the wifi - it reminded me of dialup. ROOM: You again get the impression from the online pictures that it was well looked after and well maintained. But, we received no toiletries? There was chipped paint around the windows. The lighting was very dim (low watt bulbs) and the dining chairs could not be pushed under the table - so maneuvering around the already small space was difficult. Half a roll of damp toilet paper and the quality wasn't great - it just fell apart. No net drapes on the windows - which meant you couldn't have natural light and privacy together. So the rooms curtains needed to remain closed the entire time. Constant black out curtains which meant lights were always on. Under the sink (bathroom) was filthy with a hose that kept falling out. There's a floor fan that took up unnecessary room was 'in the way' with no where to plug it in. No where to hang clothing? Ironing board but, no iron? Could not sit outside as there was no outdoor seating. Kitchen facilities were ok. BEDS: The sheets were white and clean, comfortable beds and plenty of warm blankets. This was great. 10:30pm gate is padlocked no one in or out.

I liked the central location it is right in the central Whangarei and walking distance to shopping area. The reception lady was so helpful friendly and I often saw her giving residents the tour. The laundry room was sufficient $3 (Gold coins) for a wash or dry and bring powder. Shared facilities were basic but had a great fooseball table and pamphlets/info and books. I loved the 2 modern bedside lamps (in my room) however, they didn't match the dated decor of the room. Tennis court but, RV Vehicles were parked on it.

Not worth for $199 a night. Super hot, smells, carpets stains and had smell on beds and couch. Booked and confirmation said air-conditioned but no just 2 worn out fans. The lady said we made a mistake on booking air-conditioned room. The rest of the rooms on block were all air-conditioned. Unconscious bias I guess. We are Asians.

- the toilet & shower looked old and were very small - kitchen was not well equipped (no salt, pepper, oil that sort of thing) - it was stated in the booking, free wifi is just one of the basics in the 21 century

As I have worked in Holiday Parks I found the toilet and shower facilities below standard. Water temp kept altering while showering, No seat in shower stall for ease of dressing I have a gammy leg.

I loved the apartment, was like a tiny home away from home and was extremely accommodating for all our needs! It was so close to the city centre that we could walk into town!
