Nothing. Lovely cabin stay

Wonderful little cabin on the edge of the glacier town just a short drive away from Franz Josef. It's very secluded and romantic, tucked in amongst the fields, with horses around. The accommodation has everything you need. A smart TV, good WiFi, a nice bathroom unit and good well stocked kitchen with oil, vinegar, salt and pepper included. Theres tea and coffee making facilities and supplies. The heater/air con unit works quite well too and keeps the whole place either cold or toasty depending on time of year ( or day...) It's a lovely little cabin and we were very comfortable and happy staying here! Check in was also very easy to self administer and self do so you can arrive anytime and have the lockbox to enter

The apartment was prefect. It was very clean and towels and handwash were provided and you get a great view from the bedroom and living area and we wake up to a clear view of mount cook the next morning. And although we arrive late at night, we didn't have any problem finding our way to the apartment as the owner was very thoughtful to put up sign along the way near the apartment to ensure guest doesn't get lost. Highly recommended!

Curtains let in a lot of light in the am.

Beautiful outlook and a lovely location. Small but reasonably well equipped and very comfortable. We loved the horse galloping around in the adjoining paddock.

The cabin is on the smaller side. There is no deck awnings so when it rained we had to close all the doors to stop the wild rain coming in.

Nice view over the mountains and comfortable stay overall. Short drive into town.

We loved staying here - nothing negative to say - we were very happy

We loved this little unit. The views onto the mountain were beautiful and the bed was very comfortable with a comfy couch too. I have read a few of the previous reviews with people complaining that the bathroom was too small, and lets be honest - it is..... BUT - if my butt can park its self on the loo and get into the shower (and lets be honest - I have a big butt!!!) you can too - yes its small and compact but it has everything - a toilet a sink and a shower (a good one at that) then its all good - you don't need to go ballroom dancing in it. The unit was a comfortable easy place to stay with great views ( oh and the horse in the paddock out front put on a galloping show at sunset which made it all the more amazing) Communication was via Booking.com so we didnt need to interact with the hosts (which suited us) but contact details were supplied

Be careful not to leave the windows open because sand flies like to enter.

Location was really great, it was 4 minutes out of the township which meant it was extremely quiet and peaceful. Views from the deck were spectacular during the day (horses!) and night. When the sky is clear at night, you can see so many stars! The cabin was really well insulated! The bed and couch were very comfortable. Electric blanket on bed and heaters available in both bedroom and main living. Private parking right behind cabin. Communication about how to get the key was super easy. Would highly recommend staying here, we loved it!

Nothing, but during the day expect to hear an occasional distant helicopter flying between the nearby town and glacier.

Comfy layout, attractively decorated. Deck is perfect for a relaxing drink while watching the sunset. Kitchen suitably equipped to prepare your own meals. Convenient, short drive to town of Franz Josef.

Granted it had been raining a lot, but for a new build with double glazing the place was quite damp (e.g. lots of condensation, even after ventilating).

The place was warm, with great views of the mountains and had a well stocked kitchen. Quiet setting (unless it's windy) and a comfy couch for when the weather turns.
