cleaningness, there were stains in the carpet, floor dirty in kitchen area and toilette seat. tv kept turning on during the night. this things are easy to fix anyways, but definitely will come back.

Thought parking was free if booked on line. Was told I had to have a $100 bond on arrival, this was not mentioned on the web page. Minimal tv channels. Seats were not designed for larger people.

A few ideas that would enhance our stay..Extra crockery etc. We had to keep washing dishes and cutlery. More cups would be great, and in the rooms with Nespresso machine, we need some smaller cups. The mugs don't fit. Having said this, I do believe that if we had asked, then the staff would have provided these extras for us, because it does seem that nothing is too much trouble for them !!!

The rooms are huge, the beds are so comfy and the staff are great. I always stay at Roomies because it's excellent value and ideally located, plus the above reasons. Highly recommended.

One bathroom for 4 guest wasn’t ideal but we made it work.

I didn't like that we had to pay $100 bond for 1 night and when it was time to leave they couldn't refund as there wasn't anyone there to authorize it. We then had to phone a cuple of hours later only to find out it can take up to 7days.

The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful.

Great place for a stay if you have a car or can use the train. Secure parking, very clean, very spacious. Good for access to the airport. It would be a nice place to stay for a few days.

Couldn't fault our stay or room however .... We chose option pay at property as was paying from a different bank account but money was taken out of bank before we were even at the property without any warning. Had we not had money in that bank account it would have declined. When we questioned the person on arrival they said there was nowhere to put on the booking.com app. I mentioned that they could have contacted with ph or email so could be prepared.

2 bedroom family apartment was amazing. Beds were so comfortable. Full kitchen facilities 2 bathrooms. Clean and tidy.

We were travelling with our 7 year old grandson and chose Roomie because of the close location to other family members in Auckland. We were impressed by the size and comfort of the apartment and the location was ideal for us. The property was extremely good vale and we would use again and also recommend. The microwave wasn't working so we mentioned that to the recptionist and I am sure it would have been quickly fixed,

If you are worried about trains noises disrupting your stay our room facing out west was very quiet however the stair well is rather large and open plan so rather loud guest conversations do travel up and down the staircase but are not overly intrusive. Surprised to see free coffee capsules supplied but they were rather bland. Picky, picky!! Be aware, paid parking, but it is secure.

Roomie is a new hotel situated within easy walking distance of Avondale shops/cafes/facilities and a very short walk to the Avondale Train Station serving all the various suburbs heading west and of course serving many suburbs heading east including Eden Park, Newmarket and of course Auckland CBD. Our room at Roomie was just that, very roomy, with views out west over Avondale, Avondale Race Course and in the distance, the Waitakere Ranges. Comfortable double bed, very well appointed kitchen, excellent shower although the toilet had a hand-basin but no towel rail. Also missing in our room was a laundry appliance - the room and plumbing was there but no machine so if that is important for your stay check that you room has what you need. Everything worked as expected and the whole unit was spotlessly clean. Desk staff were very helpful and friendly.
