The bathroom fan was a bit noisy.

The view from the room was wonderful - even seen a pod of dolphins from our room. Nice walk to town or to the pub for a feed. Quiet even though it’s on the main road. Clean and comfortable. Owners friendly.

Excellent. Roomy unit with well thought out & appointed design, everything you might need for 1 night or a week's stay. Kitchen allows you to cook a meal for 4 and unit has heat pump & good installation for the colder winter months . Lyn & Paul go the extra mile to make sure you feel at home. And of course the view of Kaikoura is awesome

Rude staff behaviour - it's the lady owner who was judgemental and was racial to our food and culture. She welcome us questioning of booing via booking.com , mentioning about the percentage of amount goes to booking.com. besides ,evenif kitchen was included at the room ,she brought up the limitations of food items that can cooked inside the room .. said to us " no Indian food " and asking weird questions like what sort of food you eat in a rude tone when I counter with her arguments. The main blame was the aroma of spices which is not Ok for her. Even if she had that issue,the best way to do is to put this on booking.com with a detailed description,so that consumers like us would get an idea. She also threatened that she could take extra one day charge of room we cook Indian food for just cooking Indian food. God sake , she ruined our time, felt really awful about her behaviour. I was about to write a review before to help with any Asians ,who would be booking this property ,can possibly have an impact with her behaviour. When we left , she was happy to see a clean room ,as we already decided not to cook prior to our journey. Booing.com should take necessary steps to protect your consumers rights. Thanks.

The owner of this business checked us in and was quite abrasive, first for using booking .Com called your company liars and cheaters and stealing all her and our money and ours then she got on us for being late which I had not listed a time of arrival and we arrive at 7:15 and their office stays open till 8. . Then when. I asked about a clearly listed amenity both in the booking site and on their own site she said no she couldn’t provide that - I had asked for chair to sit on the patio which was one of the reasons we booked this property was to sit out on the patio. She said we could use the attached benches that were turned sideways and that were metal benches not facing the ocean. I asked if we could then move the chairs from inside to outside and she said no and was quite rude about the whole situation. I told her they probably should just take her booking off Booking.com if she has such a big problem with it. And then I went and looked and saw that the same pictures were exactly describing her property on her own website. Really bad advertising and really bad customer service I could not really recommend this hotel as there are lots of other options that I hope would treat their customers better.

The location was great. We booked the place for the ocean front view and the lovely patios with chairs to take in the views, Room was nice very well heated and nice kitchen area.

Owner gruff and nosy. Told me we were silly to have booked through Booking.com. Insisted on having me read menu for restaurant they were promoting. Showed us the unit while giving instructions at breakneck speed.

Well equipped and reasonably modern. Smart TV but no Sky. Acceptably comfortable. Quiet location.
