Stylish and beautifully furnished and cared for. Hosts were perfect — professional and friendly at the same time. Views of the bay from the property were amazing (right from your breakfast balcony). Peter’s cooking was superb - obviously a labour of love.

WE really enjoyed our hosts company , it felt really natural and super friendly and we got lots of information about the house, the town and lots more. Breakfast was really good and served on beautiful balcony, bonus was having caffeine free ground coffee beans , awesome treat : )

An absolutely beautiful historic building with stunning views over the bay. We had an amazing 2 bed suite with small lounge and terrace, the place was spotless. Greg and Peter were perfect hosts, so happy to help with any question and was so lovely to hear the history of the house and area. Tea, coffee, homemade biscuits available and honesty bar. Peter makes amazing breakfasts! Russell town is so pretty too, particularly out of high season.

Great location, quiet, comfortable and charmingly historic, plus incredible views over the water. The breakfasts were a fortifying and delectable gift each morning and served on the veranda with amazing views. Very accessible to the wonderful amenities of Russell and the owners provided useful local suggestions which were always spot on. One of the highlights of our trip.

Our room had a separate private bathroom which was not en-suite. However both the bedroom and bathroom were of a very high standard.

Peter and Greg were brilliant hosts and the breakfast was exceptional. Location was a short walk into Russell which was a lovely little town with plenty of places to eat.

Thank you Peter and Greg for a wonderful stay in Russell, it was a real pleasure to stay at your B&B you made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. We loved our historic room which was lovely and cool despite the heat outside. We loved the location which was an easy walk to central Russell and thank you for the advice about restaurants. However, the most memorable part of our visits were the amazing breakfasts on the terrace which were exceptional. We also loved chatting to your other guests who were so helpful and friendly we thoroughly enjoyed our time staying at Arcadia Lodge.

This was a delightful B&B in a beautiful seaside location. We loved the breakfasts and the rooms. Close enough to walk into the centre of town where there were so many things to do and see. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

The only observation I would make for others booking was that in booking a suite of two bedrooms and shared bathroom we had not realised we would need to walk through the second bedroom to reach the bathroom. This is very minor as all the rooms were lovely and we had own terrace and lounge. We are a family so that was liveable but others might wish to check when booking as I do not know what the other suites are like and this arrangement may not be good for all parties. I would also add I don't think you would relax if you were travelling with young children.

Hosts were amazing, informative and really very helpful and absolutely ensured you got the very best from your stay; breakfasts excellent sitting on the terrace with stunning views and completely home made foods and the whole property is made over for the enjoyment of guests. It is a home from home and full of its own history with classic furniture.
