Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandTV in bedroom but not one in main living area is a bit odd. The driveway is tight although you get used to it after a couple of in/outs and we were told about that before we arrived plus we had a (dog) trailer which most guest's won't. Parking was good to be offstreet. Fenced area for our dog was also welcomed.
Location is good and was quite convenient for our purposes attending an event which was just a few minutes drive away. The apartment was clean and well appointed and the fully fenced back yard was a bonus as we had our dog with us. Very handy to a range of food outlets and supermarket all within walking distance.

New ZealandThe neighbour's are located in very close proximity to the apartment therefore some understandable noise can be expected during the festive period- however, this did not affect our stay. Bathroom was a bit dusty, most likely due to a window that was left open.
We were the only occupants on the premises, with private and secure parking throughout our stay. The apartment was pet friendly which enabled us to bring along our pet dog for the duration of our stay - there was also a private and fenced garden for our pet dog to play within. The apartment was fully furnished, and had all of the essential items one would require for their stay- this included linen, bathroom essentials, a fully furnished kitchen with staple items and a comfortable dining and lounge area.

New ZealandAccess to keys was via a lock box. Unfortunately, I was never relayed or told the code of the combination lock box. Luckily, the neighbour (front part of building) had a tenant who was available & knew how to contact the owner to provide the code to us. The ability to contact the owner and/or speak to Booking.com to solve on hand was difficult. Mostly clean & tidy, just noticeable that stains on some things from past wear & tear.
Location was good for where I had to go. Nice surprise to have ready & short access to a supermarket, food shops & bus transport (if required). Property was well appointed.
