Waited 45 minutes for breakfast - think they forgot. Tried to book the spa/massage online before the weekend- no answer. Spa was then fully booked and could not accomodate on arrival.

The facilities were run down and need updating. The furnishings definitely need a refresh. We had cobwebs hanging directly above our bed and the bathroom really needed a good dust. Food was a bit hit and miss. The breakfast bread basket had visible green mould on the bread.

The views were amazing. Felt like you were really far away and secluded. Staff was friendly. The prawn entree was amazing. Sauna was nice. The grounds were well maintained.

We did move a sofa and it was a tight mess underneath, a bug spring clean would be good.

Amazing staff, they really go out of their way to be helpful and are so friendly, the views are amazing, the food is outstanding and the beds a super comfy.

The swimming pool was bracing. The shutters between the bathroom/toilet and main room kept opening; there was no way to keep them closed.

The views from the dining room were special. Dinner was very good. The resort property outside the buildings was awesome.

The hotel seemed a little tired but otherwise delightful. We came for our 50th wedding anniversary. We had a lovely room and stay with welcoming staff. Our dinner was delicious but we felt that the restaurant totally lacked ambience (candles, flowers, lighting) which is a shame. Ordered a bottle of Prosecco but only mini bottles on offer. A wonderful view was the attraction. Breakfast was ok but only filter coffee on offer and food nothing special. We did however enjoy our stay.

The property is stunning. The room we stayed is was good, abit out dated but still good. The restaurant on the other hand - perfection! Food was amazing even down to the garlic bread and fries. Would highly recommend just going there for dinner.

Even though it is winter and most people wouldn’t use the pool, we were bummed it was closed.

Its a bit spooky possum, but hey who wants sterile old same same. We knew from the price this was never going to be 5 star but it was a little disappointing as far as the added extras went (there weren't any). It was a disabled unit which we didn't really want and although we had been upgraded for free I'm not completely sure we wouldn't have been better in the room with kitchen facilities. There was the absolute bare minimum as far as consumables go - ie toilet paper, soap, tea and coffee. The views are amazing but the windows needed a wash - however this is fine because the price reflects the fact there is no padding in there for massive amounts of maintenance staff. Its a cool place . Dodgy driveway as really narrow, wouldn't want to meet oncoming traffic so be careful. Also no signs to tell you anything - we got lost on bush walk. Be great if someone could sink a few million into it.

Not enough pots

Although it wasn't exactly what we thought we were getting, we were grateful that a solution was found quickly and we were able to enjoy the rest of our holiday. It was Peacefulness, the view was amazing, spacious, stand alone villa, plenty of outside space for our Mokopuna to run around in, comfortable and the staff were wonderful. Everything ended perfectly.

No cafe or similar during day which we expected from a resort; or suggest - this and/or microwave, toaster and more crockery and cutlery in rooms as lunch service finished at 2pm which was check in time. Knew those items weren’t going to be in room before arrival, but thought there might have been cafe/snack options from the resort during afternoon. Would have liked outdoor spa pools or the swimming pool being heated. Would also have liked more Day Spa appointments to be available so guests have the opportunity to enjoy a treatment while at the accommodation.

Loved the view from our room towards Auckland. Spacious room, gorgeous room Great breakfast and good dinner in restaurant and room service Good bed, good shower, love deep bath. Good price through you, so very happy with value for money. Not too far from Auckland airport.

At first I was given a very hot studio. When I asked for a room inside the hotel with a decent temperature, I was given another room, but with no kitchenette, so my plans had to change. Overall, my stay was pleasant and the beds were comfortable but being hosted in such a hot studio was an unpleasant surprise.

The room I was given after the first one was very comfortable but there was no kitchinette in it which changed my plans regarding meals.

If there were 4 people in the villa there are not enough plates, no sharp knife, no tea towels after we washed the dishes due to no dishwasher tablets either

Very thankful for the upgrade while my room was being renovated. A great opportunity to enjoy a special place with my wife and relaxing environment.

We didn’t stay longer. There is not a loner helicopter we could take out on the helipad🤣

The views are fantastic. The staff was helpful in every regard. It is a funky older establishment and a refreshing break from chain hotels
