Excellent location. Lovely facilities and super friendly hosts. Central enough, but away from the town noise. The outside pool is a massive hit with the kids and the views are incredible. Highly recommended.

A little hard to navigate car parking but they did let us have an extra car park as the place wasn’t completely booked. That was really kind.

Lovely place. Comfy layout. Loved the private pools out back with the mini native bush garden! Friendly staff. Great attention to detail. All round good time.

Hamish and Caren ( hosts ) were absolutely lovely,they were so awesome and friendly, the perfect couple to be managing a Motel. They were 12 out of 10 hosts.

Parking was a bit tight for my ute, nothing a few back and forth didn't fix. I was there for the motor racing.

One of the best motels I've stayed in. Heated floor,heat pump,spa bath, king bed, heated swimming pool. Balcony with lake views.

It's a good 20 minute walk out of town, the room is quite dated and it feels a little expensive for what it is.

Room is dated but everything is OK. The private thermal spa is great, if not a little 'rustic'. Room is a great size and well equipped and there's a great pub just up the hill called The Mole and Chicken that is well worth eating at.

It was a little dated, with wear and tear in the kitchenette area and the plunge pool could do with a paint, but it was very clean and had all you needed.

The room was a great size, with good facilities. We loved the big outdoor pool and the plunge pool with our room.

The apartement was very well equipped and the room was quite big with a small terrace ( view on the lake ) . The staff was nice and helpfull . We had the possibility to use the laundry without paying anything . This accomodation has a free parking and there are supermarket in the area . We did not use the swimming-pool

Not much to dislike. Sound insulation between rooms could be slightly better when next due for a renovation (this can be solved by overlaying another 10mm piece of gib board over the existing walls)… but that’s nit-picking!

Fantastic location, great spa bath, comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning unit that doesn’t dry out your throat or blow directly on you and lovely private balcony with views of the lake. We’ve stayed at many hotels in Taupo over the years whenever we’re in the country and this is definitely one of the best so far!

Baycrest Thermal Lodge was in a very good location near Lake Taupō village but not too close to the Centre. Good amenities and lovely pool to swim in.

Very clean, comfortable room, enjoyed the thermal spa bath. On edge of town, near Lake Taupo 20 mins walk into centre. Recommend the Mole & Chicken restaurant and bar.

Thermal pool was not warm but owner was unaware and was on to fixing it straight away. Meanwhile he filled up a thermal spa in a vacant room for the kids to enjoy! Much appreciated.

We booked two rooms. They were both exceptional in layout, cleanliness and came with kitchenettes and spa bath. One had a wonderful view of Lake Taupo and balcony to sit out on.

Parking was a bit tight although flexible in terms of finding a suitable park.

Great views from an excellent motel with very friendly hosts. Extremely clean and comfortable, well appointed and comfortable bed. Quite spacious with a large balcony overlooking the lake. Good value for money and close enough to 'town'. Very quiet.

The shower water got most of the bathroom wet when we showered despite our attempts to place towels and make sure the curtain could block the spray of the water. Although we were supplied with more towels for our next day :)

The staff was super friendly and helpful. She gave us recommendations for places to eat as soon as we arrived. Our favorite was the 2 mile sailing Club for drinks and pizza. The bed was comfortable and thermal pool was nice to experience. We were thankful to have available laundry facilities to use too.

Fabulous property! Amazing host who came up our rescue when we locked our entry key in the room. Loved everything about the room and conveniently located too.
