Everything, it was an exceptionally clean, well maintained property. The views were fabulous and it was an easy walk to everything. Neville and Sandra were great hosts.

Lovely boutique hotel in the perfect location of Dunedin! First, the proprietors are a lovely husband and wife who personally work at the property (including the front desk, personally maintaining the grounds, etc.). The pride they have in their hotel is obvious. Everything was always perfect, inside the hotel as well as the grounds. The room was special as well. The furnishings were very nice, the bathroom was large and well stocked, the kitchenette was well stocked and had everything we needed for our stay.

Every time I stay there it never changes to be run like a brand new Motel. It is a total pleasure to walk in the door.

This property is a small boutique property and tastefully decorated and painted be the cleanest places I have ever stayed. The room was lovely with a balcony with nice views, the kitchenette had everything you need, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had heated floors which is a lovely touch. Really nice outdoor spaces as well. Sandra waited up for my late arrival and checked me in which was appreciated. I will stay here again as the room felt so lovely I didn’t want to leave.

Was hard to see the key pad in the lock box at night. A stronger light over the box would be helpful. However I called reception and they were down in very quick time-thank you!

Excellent location adjacent to Otago University, very comfortable bed. We ordered a tasty continental breakfast which was conveniently delivered the prior night. Owner couple always available and helpful.

Advice to fellow travelers. The washing machine has a built in dryer that takes a long time to dry heavy clothes such as jeans. It's not a complaint - just plan accordingly!

After a week of travel, it was wonderful to find a washing machine IN THE ROOM, together with a drying rack. No hanging out in the guest laundry waiting for someone to free up the machines!! The whole space was very thoughtfully appointed (shelving, hooks, well-equipped kitchen) - obviously someone (presumably the owners Neville and Sandra) had put a great deal of effort into anticipating the travelers' needs. We had a Premier Studio room with a view to the east over the university - not the most picturesque vista but that's not the hotel's fault. The room was super clean, quiet and the bed comfortable. It was a perfect location for our visit. A 15 minute walk to the Octagon, Toitu Otago Settlers Museum and the infamous railway station. Parking on-site. The Otago peninsular is spectacular, worth a drive or bicycle ride, and if you are lucky you might see some great wildlife. As an aside - Dunedin is the home of Speight's brewery (est 1876) and after a statistically representative sample we are now firm converts to this great New Zealand product.

We have 2 children at Otago University and we were setting both up in 2 different flats, so the stay at Bluestone was perfect as it allowed us to do that. The location was awesome - walking distance to George Street restaurants and the Octagon. Highly recommend

Immaculate residence with great access to the University and downtown core. Everything you may need is available in your suit. Easy access to the Dunedin peninsula too, which is a breath of freshair compared to the downtown core of the city.

It was a steep walk from the street to the building, easier going down!!!!

The apartment was well equipped, light, comfortable, modern and extremely clean. All provisions were refilled every day and the owners were extremely helpful. There was a dedicated outside seating area with views and a courtyard seating area as well as a designated, comfortable smoking area. There was a lounge for guests to have a drink and snack in the evening or just relax in comfortable sofas during the day. Parking on site available. It was a 10 min walk into the town centre and not far from the botanical gardens and a bus service outside. All in all we were very happy with our stay at Bluestone on George and would highly recommend. The staff and owners were helpful and cheerful.
