Have stayed before so was as expected. Exactly what I required whilst in Warkworth at a course.

Had to ask twice for a heater. Toilet cistern leaking into toilet bowl was noisy.

Plenty of room, good shower, Sky TV. Great meals. Open fires in bar.

The rooms are on the road so it’s a little too noisy and a little light

It’s charming and very central to get to Matekana, Snells beach and Brickhouse bay. The restaurant is also really good

Night light outside bathroom made the whole room quite light all night.

Excellent location. Very comfortable room, even if the hotel complex is a bit of a rabbit warren.

It did have a musty, mouldy smell within the living room - but they did have a dehumidifier which resolved the problem after an hour or so when I turned it on. Our room with the double bed was a bit tight due to some cool looking Kmart shelving so had to be cautious when moving past it, with my fat stomach! The wifi passwords and networks, as there were a few, were in-correct, did not match and confusing. Thankfully, my wife works in IT so worked it out - please printout a more correct list at reception as I had to take a photo of it, nothing in the rooms to say otherwise.

The apartment was clean and tidy, rooms clean and tidy as well. Kitchen facilities was great. Car parking right out the front, guaranteed. Also private and secluded from the rest of the hotel.

small kitchen no sink to fill jug for a coffee (there was a bathroom sink which you were able to get a little bit of water into the jug). (shame no hot chocolate power supplied only tea and coffee) No seal on the shower so a lot of water when showering went on the floor.

very welled set out room, very basic double bed and single bed in room, a Very big tv and good sky tv channels .The wifi password was well worded on the wall.. This room had the very basics which every person needs for a room for a quick stay.

Staying in a historic hotel has its drawbacks. We had a room with twin beds, a sloping attic-style ceiling over the beds. Watch where you stand up. The bathroom needed some redesign. The shower door would swing open all by itself, bang into the room door which would then open itself. There was a sign saying not to shower with the door open because it would set off the smoke alarm! We were there for one night, and were able to sleep.

The location in center of town, near restaurants and the river walk is nice. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The restaurant served up excellent food, and we enjoyed our meal there.

From the photo taken on line, it seemed the room we got didn’t match the photo. The photo showed an A frame window which reflects perhaps an upstairs room rather than a ground level room
