Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The showers were awesome pitty they are used often from permanent residents so would be hard to keep tidy at all times, soap dispensers were empty could do with upgrades in bathroom and kitchen as it is very dated. Staff are kind

New ZealandTea towel looked dirty so we didn't use it. There wasn't quite enough crockery and cutlery in the unit for our 5 person party, so we just topped it up from the communal kitchen (we were happy to do this). A bedroom door handle came off in my hand , but I sent an email after we checked out and management reported back to me that it was fixed quickly.
We had read the reviews before we came and weren't sure what to expect! We had booked a family cabin/bunkroom and on arrival, we were offered the option of an actual motel unit for an upgrade fee of $30. We were very pleased with this as we had our own bathroom, kitchen and separate bedroom. The location was central, the price was excellent and there was a favourable cancellation policy up to 3 days before booking. It was equal to/exceeded our (low!) expectations.

AustraliaCleanliness of bathroom not quite there, especially toilets. The room did not look like it was cleaned as there was an old bottle left under the bed and also something had been left there by previous person still on the kitchen bench. Bunk bed probably needs an oil and change of mattress.
Value for money - you get for what you pay for. Had TV and wifi - although it dropped out quite frequently. Location was good, not too far from town. Staff were helpful and friendly. Double bed was comfy. Kitchen facilities were descent.

United KingdomThe state of the kitchen was awful! There were flies everywhere. The fridges had leftover food and mould on some of the items. The bins were open and overflowing as well as being left outside to the elements. Absolutely disgusting. The toilets and showers worked but needed cleaning. The room was rather dark and the windows didn't close properly.
There were beds in the room. It served a purpose.

Well on arrival we were advised that we did not have booking with them even through we had received a confirmation from booking.com. Staff were really helpful and found us alternative accommodation. Only down fall was that we have to travel further to Rotorua.

New ZealandDefinitely needs little maintenance. Microwave was just about falling off its shelf, toilet was making a leaking noise all day and night, random walking noises on the roof which I can only assume is was from an animal? The doors need WD40 as they’re really creaky and you can hear the door opening in the apartment next to you. The WIFI wasn’t great and kept dropping off not sure if it’s because we were in the furtherest room.
I love that it was really close to ammenities and the main township. The lady at the front desk was really nice and it was decent value for money. The apartment we were in had everything we needed and plenty of options for sleeping. Beds were comfortable, air con was great. Really appreciate the clean rules of being quiet after 9PM as we had issues with this at another place in Taupō.
