Just not as luxurious as we had previously experienced, and a wee bit small.

The hosts, Dean & Tomoko were brilliant. Dean was especially helpful, passing on local knowledge of best food, pubs, places to go, and parking of our car!! Thanks for your calm patience Dean😀 Compared to some of the other accommodation we had stayed in, this was probably the least impressive, but the hospitality made up for the bijou room. It had all the facilities you needed, and was comfy enough, just a bit smaller than we were used to, but we had a lovely stay👍

There was nothing we didn't like. Just we had my 79 year old Mum with us who suggested a handrail on the wall to aid getting out of the beautiful spa bath would be handy.

A lot! Our room was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It had a comfy bed, great shower and the patio was a nice space to enjoy. The tea and coffee selection and the bathroom products were high quality and Tomoko our host was lovely. The location close to town was also excellent.

Turning a big car in the carpark could be an issue but personally there wasn't a thing we didnt like.

Great staff and a great sized room with good temperature control. The bathroom was enormous and had a spa bath and there was parking outside the door. A short easy walk into town made for a perfect stay. The price was brilliant, great value for money unlike most places nowadays. Look forward to staying here again!

Surprised to find a queen bed in the lounge area rather than a pulldown or sofa bed. It was comfortable but meant that we had to sit on the bed or at the dining table as a group which wasn’t ideal.

Friendly welcome and helpful staff who sorted us a second night at short notice when we realised we’d made a mistake with our dates. Clean accommodation, very well positioned for town centre and restaurants.

From the moment we arrived, the owners were so warm and helpful and we had an unexpected upgrade from a King Room to a King Suite ! The owners were very knowledgeable about Nelson and surroundings and gave us some good suggestions as to where we may like to visit.

A fantastic find. The hotel is a short walk from the restaurant district and Church Hill. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Dean and Tomoko are excellent hosts and very willing to share ideas for dining out and exploring the area. We would definitely stay here again.

Best Motor lodge we have stayed at. Not only was it quiet which is something a lot of motor lodges fail to be. But it also had the best coffee I’ve managed to find since we started travelling from Auckland. The spar bath was just brilliant. Had a few such spar baths over the previous 3 weeks and this was hands down the best. Parking was good. Distance to centre and shops was a short walk. Staff were great. Very much worth staying here. Just make sure you get the spar bath room :)

The room was extremely clean and comfortable. Dean the owner was very personable and made sure we were comfortable and felt at home. The lodge was a short walk into the centre of town with different restaurants and sights.

So very welcoming, the owners went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. The rooms were beautifully appointed, clean and well stocked. Our room had a spa bath which unfortunately I didn’t have time to enjoy! We were able to use the washing machine and dryer for a small fee. Beds were super comfortable. Would definitely come back.

This was a great place to stay. The host was very helpful and friendly. Our room had everything we needed including lovely little courtyard at the back. It was very clean and had on site laundry facilities.The room was also completely set up for disabled. Location was also good - just a short distance to restaurants and shops. Only one thing I’d change is the bedside lamps. The lamp shade obscures the light, not ideal for reading. Everything else was excellent.

We booked 2 bedroom unit. Very clean and comfortable, very spacious. It was very quiet being at the far end from the road. Very welcoming and helpful hosts. Easy, walking distance to centre of the town. Would stay again.
