Rooms have been modernized but what was bizarre is it looks like they put back the old fixtures like the heat pump, wall heater, bathroom heater etc which were all yellowed and looked dreadful. Such a shame because it really is a wonderful place to stay BUT aside from this I would stay there again.

Spacious room with huge tv, very comfy bed, big bathroom and a wonderful kitchenette. I could easily stay somewhere likes this for a week. It was very quiet, little noise from other rooms or guests even though fully booked.

Water dripping noise over ceiling when rainy, was not easy to sleep. Level two lobby area carpets are worn/dirty and common areas smelly. The tea bags supplied were really bad quality no taste at all.

The room was very clean and the room service was great. Spacious bathroom and shower over spa. The bedding is very clean and comfortable. Great location for all facilities in the town.

Noisy bathroom fan, shower curtain smelt mouldy and of mildew. Person in upstairs room stomped around their room keeping me up. I did not understand this as I was also on top of another floor and didn't make any noise?? One of my pet peeves is people stomping across wooden/light floors instead of walking. They're usually the ones that can never hear all the noise they're making. Annoying.

Stayed one night only and the room served its purpose. Service was friendly, from reception to cleaning. Room was spacious and clean. Location of the property is quiet - away from the main hustle and bustle of city life.

I had a room that needed attention. Didn’t help with the guys starting work at 7am on a Sunday the room above mine. No balcony as per Booking.com and really in need of attention that I think the new owners are doing.

Unfortunately no view, or anything extravagant. Ā pleasant stay none the less. Cooking in small space hoping fire alarms don't go off was scary😂 I found the in your face fine signage showed no class. An information booklet in room would have been better. A light bulb was out in our room. Some unnamed switches.

We were disappointed that we could not get the living or UKTV channels on the TV in Tauranga after driving around the South Island where we had access to both channels at most of the motels we stayed at

I didn't like that I wasn't told if I was getting a balcony or not and what floor I was on. It would be good to know and be able to ask for specifics. Also, it would be beneficial for there to be complementary shampoo and conditioner or for it to say online that there wasn't any.
