Rarely do I give somewhere full marks on every front - but this hotel deserved it. And the icing on the cake was it had a few free car park spots.

Booking.com didn’t advertise facilities as is. I made the choice for a particular room, the selling point was that it came with a fireplace. I was disappointed that a fireplace wasn’t an option.

The location is convenient, the staff were extra accommodating and helpful.

Only a minor point - couldn’t seem to get the heater on and it was a cool night.

It was elegance and finesse combined … a charming villa. The owners were exceptional hosts and the extra touches were a delight.

There is no hot option for breakfast. There is plenty of fruit, bread, pastries, cold cuts, and cheese but no eggs, bacon, or sausage.

The location of the villa is fantastic -- right across the street from one of the arts centers and one block down from the large art museum. The botanic garden was a block away. There were good restaurants, shops and cafes right near the villa, and then a bunch of restaurants across the bridge near the River Market and along Regents Street. The couple running the villa were very friendly and helpful.

I wish I had booked for 2 - 3 days, 1 night was nowhere near enough to enjoy the property and location.

Breakfast was great and the our host Jackie was friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service and it felt like we were staying with friends. Thanks Steve and Jackie, Great Job. We really hope to be back and will encourage our friends and family to come and stay with you when in Christchurch.. Oh, Did I mention the amazing location of this property, in walking distance to all inner city locations and restaurants.

Situated in the historic part of Christchurch. Opposite the Botanical Gardens and walking distance to restaurants. Well maintained property. Everything was spotlessly clean. Fabulous hosts. Great breakfast. Great bed and bath 😀

It would have been good to know more about what is required re your cell with the app so that movies were could be watched. I had no data that I could delete so was unable to install. This is the first time in my experience of going to a hotel where it is left for the guest to be responsible for organising their phone in order to watch movies on the internet. I consider this to be an inconvient hassle.

Great location. The breakfast provided was excellent due to there being various, quality options to select from. The hosts were friendly and accommodating without being intrusive.

Fantastic location. Able to walk to many tourist destinations and very good restaurants. Jackie and Steve are amazing hosts and do lots to make you feel comfortable in their lovely small hotel. Delicious breakfasts.
