Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandIf you’re a fan of good coffee, bring your own favourite Nespresso pods; they’re provided, but this one small thing was not especially high quality.
Truly wonderful experience! Everything about the glamping tents is very well designed and every possible need anticipated. Warm, cosy, modern, efficient, handsome… even elegant! This takes “glamping” to a five-star level. We’ll definitely be back.

United KingdomThe Domes are on a shared campsite. They are in their own private area however.
Plenty of room and well equipped. Super comfortable bed. Lovely complimentary breakfast in the morning which was a good opportunity to meet fellow travellers.

The dome was a different experience. The hostess was very friendly. The food was very good.

Hong KongWe are family of 5, booked 2 room but cannot add extra bed. So 1 of us need to sleep alone at campsite while a bit far away from us.
The room is nice! Sleep with the sky with a lot of star. Toilet is fancy and tiny, and we had a relax and chill breakfast!

Australianothing really! but didn’t realise there is a campground just below the domes so the domes are facing the camping tents etc and you can sort of hear the people talking, playing music etc but this did not affect our stay anyway it was still spectacular!
EVERYTHING. The domes are spectacular I’ve never seen anything like it before it has everything you need! it’s luxurious! plus you get delicious free breakfast every day!!

JapanThe neighbors played music and talked loudly until night. The sound isolation is not enough. A moth was in the room. There was no curtain for the main window.
The property is surrounded by wonderful nature. Could see the starry sky from the room. The interior was great.

United Kingdomit is behind the campsite with motor homes and tents, not on the lake. Also a shame that staff / chef isn’t available for dinner.
Beautiful property a short walk from the lake and a good place to stop as you tour NZ. nStars at night are good and the dome is very comfortable with everything you need ++ and very good breakfast and friendly staff on hand.

AustraliaWe only stayed one night. Should have stayed two!!!
There are just not enough words to explain how magnificent this experience was! Everything and I mean EVERYTHING you could want in a beautiful hotel room is here in a “glamping” setting. Stevie-T was a more than welcoming host from beginning to end. Divine super-king bed with amazing sheets, heated mattress pad, great pillows, comfy duvet, gas fireplace, fridge with milk for in-room tea/coffee, little dishwasher, trendy dishes and glassware, quality towels and dressing gowns, lovely hair and body products …and on and on!! All the decor was high end and beyond beautiful! We ate supper from the on-site food truck then shared a brownie and hot chocolate. We chatted with a friendly camping family white waiting for our food then sat on our deck with blankets and ate while we watched the wild bunnies play on the lawn. Total relaxation. Even though the camp grounds are right in front of the domes, it was quiet the whole time and weren’t bothered one bit. At night, my husband set up his phone and took incredible pictures of the night skies. In the morning we ate breakfast at the main house (which is of course beautiful) with the other guests and had a wonderful time learning about each other. I was lucky enough to have met the owner and had a fantastic conversation with her. Lovely and relaxed, just like the property! We are looking forward to some of their future projects. WE WILL BE BACK!!!

United StatesThe view is not lake view. You get to see other campers and people hanging up their clothes and tents. If this same tent was closer to the water, it would have been the best place to stay.
The rooms were fantastic. It has all the amenities for a comfortable stay. They have dedicated parking. You can kayak on the lake or even go for a swim. They have a dedicated space. Breakfast was good. They have different ways of making eggs and there are couple of options for cereals. There are couple of restaurants in Lake Hawea but Wanaka is 15 kms away and has multiple restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores.

United KingdomThe photos give the impression that the domes are ‘away from it all’ but they are located directly next to a caravan park so the view wasn’t great and it wasn’t as quiet and peaceful as expected. Not a deal-breaker for us and the noise did stop at a reasonable time but I wish the listing had mentioned the proximity to a caravan park so this wasn’t a surprise. we stayed in the summer and the air con wasn’t great in the dome so it was hot and stuffy inside. but it is ‘glamping’, not a hotel so we should have been grateful to have any air con at all!
We booked it for the unique dome glamping experience and it was a really fun, different stay! Loved the modern and high-spec interior. Breakfast was lovely. good location near Wanaka and just a few mins walk to a rocky little beach - good for swims in Lake Hawea. there is also a nearby food truck for snacks and drinks.

AustraliaThis is a very special accommodation experience, the location of the accommodation is close to Hawea Lake, the appearance of the dome is super lovely, and the facilities inside are very comfortable, especially the mattress, soft and hard. The host of the dome was nice, too. All in all, it was a very unforgettable experience and I would recommend it to my friends.

AustraliaAs the domes are essentially tent, its not soundproof and you’d slightly hear the neighbouring domes.
The domes has a beautiful view of the stars while maintaining privacy. Domes were very spacious inside with great selection of tea. Shower water pressure was excellent. Tasty breakfast also!

New ZealandWe found the air conditioning/ ventilation/ bathroom fan noisy. It would be good to have an instruction manual for heat pump, to make it easier to turn down fan speed/ noise etc. Dome missing a few basics like bottle opener and tissues.
The domes are well appointed, with very comfortable beds. Clever lighting. Lovely breakfast at the lodge.
