Nothing really. It’s a short drive into Queenstown but worth it for the peace and tranquility.

Loved everything. Our room #1 Tahi had such stunning views with its own balcony. The bed was very comfortable. Wendy and David are very hospitable and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. David made us a yummy vegan breakfast. Wendy provided great advice on where to dine around Queenstown. We can also recommend the hot tub under the stars. It was a highlight of our trip.

Loved everything.

We loved the Hidden Lodge, best place we have stayed on our trip. The lodge has beautiful views, away from the busy town Center (a good thing what with traffic, construction and crowds) yet close enough to walk in or drive 10 min to. The hosts, Wendy and David, could not be nicer and we throughly enjoyed our 3 nights with them. David is a chef so expect a good breakfast. Wendy gives the best restaurant recommendations, and even drove us in a couple of evenings, amazing hosts! Highly recommend a stay at the Hidden Lodge.

The parking is at the bottom of the hill! Plenty of parking but a little challenging in the dark.

Loved the location. Close enough to town but yet far enough for peace and quiet. The views are just amazing. Home cooked breakfast is delicious. The staff were absolutely lovely and friendly.

Queenstown is a must place to visit on a road trip itinerary. It isn’t a cheap location, for accommodation or eating out, but has to be experienced. Parking is an absolute pain in the town, but luckily Uber operates and offers great rates.

The location, whist a couple of kilometres out of Queenstown, was stunning. The view over the lake from our room will be embedded in our memories for a long time. The property only has 4 rooms so the service offered is very personalised. A great place to chill out and just enjoy.

David and Wendy are wonderful !! The breakfast was great with a lot of choices. The room WHA was beautiful with panoramic view of the lake. David recommended us places to go and eat and also helped us with traveling because we were without vehicles so it’s was so nice!!

The view from the room and the balcony was fantastic overlooking Lake Wakatipu and all the beautiful surrounding mountains: The Remarkables, Cecil and Walter. David and Wendy were very nice and gave us good indications as to interesting places to visit, such as Arrowtown. David prepared a very good breakfast.

Wendy and David are terrific hosts with lots of advice, stories and support. The lodge view is incredible and the routine one establishes with ordering breakfast the night before, sipping coffee in the morning and planning out the day with David’s suggestions makes the holiday very relaxing and special.

Nothing! The place couldn't have been better.

The Hidden Lodge was possibly the best place I've ever stayed. The common area was beautiful with the bonus of a telescope, board games, and a beautiful balcony area to watch the lake. The breakfast was delicious and had a great selection. The managers of the hotel were friendly and helpful. The place was peaceful and private and our room was large, clean, and had a beautiful view. I would absolutely stay again!

There is plenty of parking for the lodge but it was a tight squeeze to get into - we were fine getting in and out but it is not one for the faint hearted if you are not confident reversing up/down a steep hill in the dark!

What a stunning lodge! The views out from our room across the lake were beautiful. The suite was very spacious and very well equipped. Our hosts Wendy and David were incredible and went out of their way to make our stay as wonderful as possible. The made to order breakfast by David each morning was utterly delicious! We also made use of the wood-fired hot tub one evening which was incredibly peaceful with a wonderful view of the lake as it began to get dark.

The owners were attentive from the start to make sure our stay was amazing including the added hot tub experience, which was lovely. The breakfast was amazing as well. The owners also were very forthcoming with help planning our time there.

Most beautiful peaceful location with perfect hosts. Whilst it a short drive out of Queenstown, that was,in our opinion, an added bonus. A nice haven to come back to after a day of holiday activities.

Everything was perfect.

This is a small guest house. The hosts are very welcoming. The view over the lake is stunning. The living room, with fireplace, is a lovely place to hang out. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

Everything - Wendy and David were so lovely and accommodating plus the breakfast each morning was so delicious, loved that we got an option each morning. Just a short drive from town and we’re even driven in by Wendy. The view from this property is absolutely stunning and the rooms were spotless, beds so comfortable and bathroom was huge. There’s so much more i could rave about this place and both me and my partner couldn’t recommend Hidden Lodge anymore, thank you again Wendy and David💛
